Sure. Is there any reason you're not using the source tarballs from GitHub though?

We like to be as close to what you are shipping to the user, e.g. pip, as possible. Secondly, pypi has a mirror system, which we love to use.

The tests should now be included in the PyPI releases (version 2.6.2 and above). 😄

This is incorrect, tests are not supposed to be installed, they're just supposed to be shipped in the PyPI tarball.

You can do that by removing it from packages = [] in setup.py, and adding include colorlog/tests/* to MANIFEST.in -- they'll then be in the sdist which you upload, and the testsuite can be run, but the testsuite won't end up in site-packages.

(BTW it's also customary to stick them in tests/, not $project/tests/, but I don't know that that really matters)

Should be fixed correctly now. I think putting tests in $project/tests/ was also a user request at some point...
