Evaluate privacy implications of blog hosting providers

Cool site, thanks for making.

I'd suggest an audit of the privacy implications and Tor compatibility of the recommended blogging platforms (currently WordPress.com, GitHub Pages, and Tumblr), because the following issues are possible:

• trackers running against bloggers, ie Facebook Pixel on login pages, Google Analytics throughout admin UI
• trackers running against visitors to your blog (doesn't necessarily affect author's anonymity, but let's promote good providers anyway!)
• author UI requires JavaScript -- will require user to disable NoScript
• service may block Tor users or require them to fill out annoying CAPTCHAs

Additional Platform - Secure Scuttlebutt (including ManyVerse)

Consider adding SSB (Secure Scuttlebutt) https://scuttlebutt.nz/ as a purely anonymous option (no sign ups required), and can be shared can be shared over Bluetooth, Wifi and the Internet. It also includes secure private messaging.

Page Archival Services

Additional Blog Hosting Provider

I would also like to suggest listing Medium as a blog hosting provider. The interface is simple and clean, and their Google pagerank is astonishingly highly. Case in point, one of my blog posts there somehow outranks both Facebook and Reddit for a specific search:

(And while there's an argument for that literal phrase not being in the Facebook post, given their size, I'd expect their PageRank to be second only to the likes of Google themselves and Reddit.)

As a related note (but probably not deserving of a separate issue here), I would recommend that tags be used on platforms that support them, such as Tumblr. Because when something is tagged, it shows up in a public list of posts with that tag. For example, if I tag something "cheetah", it will show up on Tumblr's cheetah tag page, which is very likely crawled by Google (as tags from other posts link to it), which is a great way to get that URL into the Google Index.
