geoscience-semantics.github.io's Introduction
๐ Pronouns: he/him
I am an environmental data scientist
- Iโm currently working on ontologies related to:
- soil properties, measurement and classification
- land use
- land cover
- land capability
- I contribute to the Semantic Web for Earth and Environmental Terminology (SWEET) ontology suite
- I'm also constructing a massive pool of Earth Science concepts which I hope will make it into SWEET.

Cite WonderWeb Deliverable 18;
cite Cassidy 2008 (CEUR); link to resource
is there overlap with the w3c-sdwg work? Or 52 degrees N? (or, both?)
namely, SWETO, SWETO-GS, and STTP
The most glaring example is probably PROV-ES
It should be an "upper-level" application ontology based on the description in the paper.
Is there a persistant link? Cite conference paper.
are these different ontologies, or just poorly worded text?

Are the Struik papers covered by the BGS ontologies/services?
These appear to separate. Add BGS rock classification schemata: all 5 volumes ( ~/GSR/BGS_RockClassification-report/ )
as part of the "other relevant works" section?

Brodaric et al 2008 (conference paper)
I believe there is one established by/through the OGC; is there also a paper to cite along with the report?
