File types are not being correctly recognized

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run "MagicNumberLite somefile.png"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The type, as appears in the XML file, should be PNG image data (line 1349).
Instead, the file is reported as Unknown application/octet-stream.

Older MS Word Documents report as MS Installer

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Scan an older MS Word document

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should be reported as Microsoft Office 97-2003 document.
It is reported as "Microsoft Installer".
