It's a countdown bot for Slack
I wanted to primarily use callie for the schedule command, but after following your exact syntax over many tests, I still couldn't get "schedule" to successfully work. Using the start date
command however did work correctly, for example something like start date: 2018-04-03, event: cool
I apologize for how weak the detail in this issue is going to be, i'm creating this about a week after this happened.
Command used:
@callie schedule: weekly, day: sunday, event: cool
Response error:
Returned an error that I didn't remember exactly off the top of my head, but I believe it was this one: (combed through your code looking for familiar errors)
Couldn't find a countdown for that event...sorry. Try asking me for "list" to see your current countdowns!
I can't say I'm 100% this was it /shrug
/edit If you'd like me to reinstall callie and track down details like a proper developer, let me know :) I'm willing to put in the time to get this app to work for me since it's exactly what I need and there's really nothing else like it out there right now that's lightweight and quick.
When I setup a schedule for a countdown, the hour I enter is seen as Pacific Time, rather than my time zone (Eastern Time). For example the command @callie schedule: weekly, day: monday, event: My Event, hour: 3
triggers the reminder at 6:00 Eastern Time.
Rename github repo to "Callie". It's confusing otherwise.
It seems that Callie can only be in one channel at a time, when I added it to another Channel, it was gone from the original one (Which makes sense, a dog cannot be in two places at the same time 😄 )
An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details.
While it's interesting that there are x calendar days to a deadline, what's often more relevant is the number of business days. That should imbue a more appropriate sense of panic :)
Hey,
Is it possible to set timezone for event schedules e.g. @callie schedule: daily, event: Launch, hour: 10GMT
And also would be great to get a list of schedules e.g. @calie schedule, event: Launch
-> "10am GMT"
Cheers,
Ben
After correctly setting up the daily schedule, I don't get reminders.
Can you help troubleshoot please?
When adding issues, they seem to be displayed (both in reminders and via the list
command) in the order the events were added. It would be nice (not sure if better would be the right word) to see them sorted chronologically.
Example of current behavior:
@callie list
Your events:
1: Auntie Em's Birthday on 03/12/2020
2: Trip to Paris on 11/13/2019
3: Going away party for Ed from Accounting on 09/13/2019
What (I think) would look more intuitive:
@callie list
Your events:
1: Going away party for Ed from Accounting on 09/13/2019
2: Trip to Paris on 11/13/2019
3: Auntie Em's Birthday on 03/12/2020
Hello, I'm evaluating callie to see if it can solve my problem.
I'd like a bot that I can configure to send a days-remaining message every N days. Can callie do this?
On looking to install Callie, Slack presents two warnings
Add a bot user with the username @callie
Callie will be able to install a bot user that appears in and has access to your workspace’s directory. It can also post messages and view activity on messages in any channel it is invited to.
Access content in your public channels
Callie will be able to access any messages and activity you can see in public channels.
The first is understandable, the second however I cannot see an obvious need for? Why would Callie need to be able to access content in all public channels?
Steps to Reproduce
0) Install callie add-on
Expected Result
Callie to run event at 9:57am
Actual Result
Callie runs the event at 9:00am
Notes
I've tried formatting as 0957 also and I get an error:
Something went wrong with updating that countdown, sorry! Did you get the name of the event right?
