The readme file should state how/whether the library is copyright/licensed, before it can be used with Macaulay2.

Request for tags

Hello!

I am working on packaging mathicgb (and mathic) for Debian, in the hopes of eventually getting Macaulay2 into Debian and its derivatives.

Debian packaging works best when there is a nice release tarball to work with (see [1]). Right now, I have to use a script to create one.

With GitHub, you just need to tag a given commit to make a tarball available for download.
