The snapshot often has the 2D representation already in it, if it has been taken as a screenshot. The problem of adding lines to 2D is that they are in different coordinates. Drawing has coordinates in pixel and the model in 3D.

Hey @teocomi I know your plugin deals with 2D line annotation over images. What's your thoughts on standardizing this 2d line work?

My plugin is just annotating an image, but it would be great to support simple 2D annotations as Navisworks does!

We already have the lines in VisualizationInfo. Would they suffice?

imho, standardizing the 2d linework over 2d bitmap images, is more useful than 3d lines, as offered, so far, in the visinfo.xsd schema.

again, i think, in general, it's a good exercise to start looking at what type of functionality all these BCF products are introducing, as a way, to inform what should be standardized next.
