The color is possible to pass in the visualization. However, my opinion is that this color would just be used for "highlighting" components that should have a distinctive color when the topic is visualized. The color value for components that have their original colors should not be sent. There is an additional xml file in the topic also what is the purpose of that?

The XML file thats included illustrates how we are using color data. It can be used to change and objects color but primarily it is to temporarily set the color of "types" of items based on a value of the elements.
Below is the UI that we have constructed internally to enable this using the additional XML schema. I have also attached a video in the link below. The goal is to be able to transmit consistent review colors to the team (extended team) in a manner that all parties can visually understand the "type" of elements they are reviewing without having to look at them at the property level. In the Review people typically standardize these colors for this purpose.
Currently the implementation is using Revit category, but we'd like to be able to use it to move between tools based on IFC Type or other value instead of a tool specific schema.
