Cool. Thanks!

You are talking about a RESTfull service. Could you please add the (draft) specification for this service interface to the repository? Thank you!!

The specification of the RESTful API to BCF 2.0 is something we can start after finishing the BCF 2.0 specification. I have something already which based mainly on the proposal of Rune Vestvic (DDS) http://goo.gl/4vzwI
but there is still a lot of work in front of us.

The example you gave in the other issue reply is JSON output, while the link you provide here only documents XML replies.
Please share stuff you have so far...

I think JSON is the first choice regarding the GET response. For PUT / POST maybe an XML-Request Body is the better choice.
I adapted mainly the idea of the project- and usertemplate from the proposal of Rune Vestvic to our BIM--it (http://bim--it.org). This is were i will setup a testenviroment for the RESTful API when we have finished the specification for BCF 2.0. Some webservices are already implemented there but only for playing a little bit with it. So far i have also a basic documentation on Apiary (http://apiary.io) but iam not shure is this the way we should go in future.
What do you propose for documentation the RESTful API ? Maybe UML (class- and sequence diagram) would be good ?

Thanks for your Feedback
Klaus

Update (for the record): Going to use BIMSie (https://github.com/buildingsmart/bimsie) for most of the interface elements, adding a new element/module to BIMSie for specific BCF calls.
For more info: http://bimsie.openbimstandards.org
Thanks for the great discussions!

my vote would be to keep the active development of the BIMSie standard that's specific to BCF calls, within this repository.
