c64-250407-replica-kicad's Issues

Q7 on the interactive BOM should be c945

I love the project and have been watching it on YouTube just waiting for the open release. Just finished my first board and I only ran into one issue. The interactive BOM lists a C1815 for the Q7 transistor for the video circuit. When I used one I got garbage video output. I could just barely tell that basic was up but the static was so bad it was unusable. I have a bunch of 250407 boards and when I checked my stock boards they all had a C945 with the higher maximum frequency. When I swapped a C945 in for the C1815 everything worked great and the picture was perfect.

Orientation of the L4 choke

I have a indented corner and on the opposite corner it reads "BL". There are two orientations to fit this in L4. The indent is either pin 2 or pin 4. Do you know which?

C203

What do you suggest I do about C203? It has no value and footprint in the BOM:
KU-14194HB-RevB-KiCad:CAPACITOR_RADIAL_P13.97_L9.9_D3.6

The interactive BOM calls it a 82pF Radial Capacitor. But, it doesn't appear to be
connected. You videos on youtube just skip it.

It might help me better to understand what "P13.97_L9.9_D3.6" means.

Testing the rails

I think I’ll take the plunge. Is the breadboard sold at pcbway the better one?

More seriously, I’ve seen some videos where people just put the board together without testing as they go. No checking their work. I don’t want to take that approach. What I want to do is use a bench power supply and test the traces on the board, even before installing the 12 & 5 V regulators. Where on your board where the voltages should be tapped?

Beveling?

When placing the order for your shared project at pcbway, I was asked a question. “You(me) chose “beveling” online but noted “not beveling “. I checked and the default choice is “Yes at 30 degrees”. I don’t know how beveling could have been turned off. Did the gerbers do it?. What do you recommend?

Should R31 be 1K or 180R ?

Thank you for the awesome interactive BOM, it's an great tool!
In the IBOM R31 is listed as 1K but I think it should be 180 Ohm,
Is this a difference between NTSC and PAL ?
