Yes in theory. Just be aware that you loose all tolerances generated by upstream icon-nwp.
These test will fail with a change.
This is something we should discuss in the next spack meeting.

Thanks for looking into it Jonas! Re. blas/lapack, I think the solution we adopted previously was to move over to openblas for both icon and numpy. Is that still an option here?

Both gt4py and icon4py should be solved by going to the latest gt4py release. I assume you updated to python 3.11?
