jQuery plugins inside Bootstrap used to be implemented in an unsafe way that could make the users of Bootstrap vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This is when an attacker uses a web application to send malicious code, generally in the form of a browser-side script, to a different end user.
