Lack of test data

The methods I have for generating test data produce the same structure. It would be good to have other types of connected graphs for testing which cases work well or not.

Not working with 32 bit for large arrays

The code relies on using a single large shared array which can be too big for 32 bit python. There are some ideas for splitting the array but its not clear how to handle the csr matrix and shortest_path calculation. I'll leave this as an issue if someone wants to contribute to this they can comment here.
