Consider a version with Expo or even migrating to just use Expo itself

I'm open to discussing a version with Expo or even migrating this project to Expo.

Upgrade to use React Native recent version

One of my ideas is upgrading the project to use the most recent libs and updating the code to match that. I would be glad to discuss it and accept help with it.

Error compiling on iOS + Flipper

There is a Compile error when trying to run the generated project from this Template at iOS using MacOS BigSur and MacBook Pro 2019.

We tried some approaches such as described here and here but nothing seems to work.

I personally can't measure the effort on correcting this or if it is just an error at my machine or even with Flipper + iOS + RN.

For now, version 2.0.0 has Flipper totally disabled.

Add Unit and Integration Test Support

The usage of jest is supported at the default React Native starting template. If possible, add that support and some usage guidelines too
