I like the idea of a Cake runner for TC!

TeamCity support would be great but I think most of the TC specific details can be removed from the build script by looking at Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("TEAMCITY_VERSION") and then provide an extension point in CakeEngine when running the build as TeamCity. The "Convenience" block might still be needed for special cases but I'm pretty sure that it's possible to solve 80% of the TeamCity logging by conventions?

Yes, I agree and I've been thinking about something similar. Would be nice to not have to think about what CI system that's running. Good idea!

A nice but separate issue might be to provide a Cake runner as a plugin http://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TW/TeamCity+Plugins

This is largely done except for Build Version. Not sure why I didn't implement that.
