How to Install

It's a web app - there's nothing to install. Just visit https://candera.github.io/weathergen.

weathergen's Issues

Seasonal "preset"

Ability to pick, e.g. "summer", "winter", or even "tropical monsoon season", and it pre-populates a bunch of the other parameters like temperature, likelihood of inclement weather, etc.

Fix layout for tablets and smaller screens

Add controls for weather parameters

Add weather-stable areas

Ability to specify an area in the weather map file where you can place tankers, because they don't handle wind shifts and altimeter changes very well.

Show weather data for cell under mouse

Fix wind vector tails

They should match the ones in Weather Commander.

Weather reports

ATIS info for airbases.

Maps don't appear under Firefox

Modify wind algorithm

Do something wherein the wind direction is a function both of pressure gradient and pressure, so that the closer a square is to the center of a "cell", the more likely it is to spiral.

Add prevailing winds

• Ability to set direction and speed of overall weather movement.
• This influences wind direction in each cell.

Add pan and zoom

Mouse wheel/drag should allow you to zoom around the weather field.

Add map

User should be able to pick a background map - Korea, Balkans, or ITO.

Weather forecasts

At takeoff, target, and landing, predicted weather. Also want "radar" shoeing historical info, ideally as animated gif for easy sharing.

Ability to edit WTH files

Integrate with atmospheric parameters in WTH files to allow holistic weather editing. E.g. turbulence/cloud altitudes.
