Failed to validate wallet metadata entry, error was: 'policy evaluation failed for: name.

As mentioned in pull request #223, we have a problem in pull request #2698. When finalizing the metadata file, or when validating the file, it gives this error: Failed to validate wallet metadata entry, error was: 'policy evaluation failed for: name.. I don't know the reason of it, because everything seems fine. Also, I am not into Haskell, so I don't understand the validation code.

How long does it take for repo maintainers to review PRs?

I didn't want to sound uncourteous, just looking to get an estimate for how long it usually takes

What's the token's name max length? in terms of chars..

Failed to validate metadata - rate limit exceeded?

My token submission was rejected and the only error it shows it "rate limit exceeded" with an IP I have no clue about.

I have no idea what this error is or means really.

Token not Verified even after adding to registry

My token was added to registry and merged by @cleanerm5 however it still shows unverified or unregistered everywhere on all DEX's.

NFT GIFs preview only still Logo.

I added metadata to a few of my NFTs in the project policyID - ef7c140867c4958b0657e6a333c584c25f92803eb4a18070168083d2

Instead of previewing GIF they preview still images. Can someone please create a pull request to remove that attribute and make it so that it is GIF again.

encoding of PolicyID

In the readme.md of the repo the field subject is created like this "The base16-encoded policyId + base16-encoded assetName". But according to these instructions https://input-output-hk.github.io/offchain-metadata-tools/#submitting-your-first-metadata-entry the policy id is not encoded. Which one is correct?

Locating a $handle

I minted the handle $pistolvania , when i was fairly new! I did this with the Nexo "wallet" not knowing they didn't hold nft ! So now im trying to figure out if i can somehow retrieve it and have it sent to my eternl somehow!???

Unknown rate limit

I was checking the terms and conditions https://github.com/cardano-foundation/cardano-token-registry/blob/master/API_Terms_of_Use.md which suggests there are some limits to exceed, but I didn't find anywhere the exact figure - could you please clarify what is the exact rate limit/fair usage policy of the service?

Issue with mapping in `master`

Hello! I believe that there is a failed mapping in master right now, as you can see from my pull request: #736 that 6622cfd6be73d6297a6647de9a64f54a5e02d3b60cfb819d2a7c513a436f6f6c4c61756e6368 is causing a failed check - not my policy id of aade58db4fba94b78ad08a1a240b9c8630fd07421d936dc939c78ab3494e4459.

permission denied

When I want to push my local branch with the metadata json file added to mappings i got the following error:

ERROR: Permission to cardano-foundation/cardano-token-registry.git denied to anhdungle93.
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

I am pretty sure there is a ssh key being used.

Too slow load from tokens.cardano.org

Im actually trying download metadata for this token:

Token decimals

How can I specify the number of decimal number of our tokens? I don't see any such field in the registry entries.

Validate-metadata of your CI tool is getting ran on different files than the ones the PR is trying to merge, leading to failures.

Just saw that the CI validation run got triggered on my PR, but failed. Error logs show that the run was performed in a completely different file than the one my PR was attempting to merge.

You sure your CI tool is validating the correct jsons?

Specifically, my PR (#1085) is trying to merge mappings/0aa124d4536745e88208b90821c1bb409b06efc2ec289d71b9df425b534d4152544545.json

And the CI tool ran validate-metadata against my json, which passed just fine, but contines against ./token-metadata-creator validate master/mappings/e14fe3ab348f9a6198359481472601f4557b9f86984f40a186a3b1e8434845525259.json pull-request/mapping /e14fe3ab348f9a6198359481472601f4557b9f86984f40a186a3b1e8434845525259.json which is totally unrelated to my json, and fails there, causing the entire run to show as failed. add information/standard to add metadata for NFT projects

The current specification allows submitting metadata for tokens ie. policyId+assetName. We should also have a specification for adding metadata for the NFT project, specifically adding metadata for the policy itself. Having metadata for an NFT project with only policyId and no AssetName (still valid) may not be the best choice as it can easily clash with actual tokens with no AssetName.

The creator can still add metadata for the individual NFT tokens via the current token specification.

    I can confirm this. The minting policy based validation process does not accord for assets being minted by smart contracts. Actually the minting policy based validation is just 1 out of multiple validation "paths" within CIP-26. WingRiders has already registered their token this way.

How can the validity of the PR be measured without being signed by some key?

PTC was added 12 days ago - Token metadata not registered.

So I am wondering how long it takes for this to get processed? cardanoscan still shows it as an unverified policy id.

Add github labels

Currently it is fairly simple to navigate through the PRs due to low volume of the opened requests. I imagine, that when the tool becomes poplar, it will be more challenging.

I suggest adding labels such as
status: in progress
status: ready for review
status: ready to merge
type: metadata
type: feature
type: bug

etc..

I understand there are other means to reflect the status and type as well as other properties of a PR, but in my experience labels are a lot more visible and functional.

Please help to register a token with policy.script and policy.skey missing.

On 2021-03-29 I have minted 9,223,372,036,854,776,000 tokens called ATHOM as a part of experiment I described it in the post on Reddit:

But than I lost policy.script and policy.skey due to hardware failure, so it is doed not exist now anywhere.

From the minting date those tokens went across several hundreds addresses and I would be very happy If I could register them in cardano token registry.

I understant what I'm asking is not the way it should be done, but I believe due to its very early minting date and the attempt to push the native tokens to the limits by total number minted it's a part of Cardano Native Tokens history. And may worth to make an exception.

I can provide whatever possible detailes of my authorship.

My PR 1103 was closed although I'm certain that the only reason it failed checks was that the tool being used caught errors in other entries that were not included in my PR!! Please help.

File size and type

I have a request regarding the Cardano Token Register.

Would you add support for the .webp? It is a much lighter file type and allows us to have a higher quality image? Or add support for users to host their image or increase the accepted file size?

We have an animated image we would like to use, and we have had to reduce our file size. We are currently using an animated png file.

Another great option would be if you were to accept .json files for Lottie Files. Any one of these suggestions would solve our current issue.

ticker greater than 5 chars

How is SUNDAE allowed a ticker greater than 5 chars?

Our project would like the same courtesy as it seems it can not be done via any tools or pull requests as it fails validation.

Assert subject is lowercase

I registered the subject

but it is not recognized by dirrefent tools, because the base16 part of the toke name was not lowercase.

I recommmend to extend the automatic check, that the subject is all lowercase.

CI does not catch File deletion

CI should fail if any file is deleted - but right now seem to pass as seen in #127

GIF upload as logo

Mark tokens as scam/spam

Is there any way to mark spam/scam tokens as potentially dangerous?
Is there any procedure/policy to require a token delisting from the CTR?

Something similar to what the solana registry does.
