Audio Mixer Volume greyed out under Audio Options

I am unable to click to change the volume of effects and music, and unfortunately by default the music plays much too loudly to hear the effects and voices sufficiently.

w2plus v1.5.7.2 : C++ runtime issue with landgen.exe (GOG version, win 10)

Hi,

First and foremost thanks a lot for taking the time to create the patch. Unfortunately I cannot play the game: After running start.exe, the launcher works fine, but when I try to start a single-player game (haven't tried any other variant), the terrain generator landgen.exe throws an error ("abnormal program termination") and the worms2.exe as well:

The frontend then hangs up and crashes.

I already (re-)installed the VC++ runtime components from here https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio-2015-2017-2019-and-2022 (I installed both the x86 and x64 versions), but this did not help). Do I need the 2013 version? As for the game itself, I installed it through the gog galaxy client and started start.exe without any compatibility settings. Maybe the non-galaxy setup package from gog makes a difference, even though this would be rather unexpected. Do you have another idea?

Quick Game doesn't correctly set the in-game screen resolution

Upon opening Worms 2, if you start a new local match via one of the two Quick Game buttons, the in-game window will be much smaller than the screen's current resolution.

Workaround: Enter the Custom Game menu, and then return to the main menu. Quick Game will now fill the screen as expected.

"Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected!"

When launching Worms 2 with W2-Plus v1.5.6 installed, the Command Line window will display the message:
"Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected!"

Explorer (and as a result, the Start Bar) will then freeze. Sometimes it restarts on its own, but otherwise Task Manager must be opened to restart Explorer manually. The game itself runs without any issue!

In addition: GOG Launcher will occasionally, but not always, display this message. Selecting "No" allows Worms 2 to continue normally.

Single player mission crash

Hi, thanks for taking the time to fix this awesome game that I played intensively during my childhood.

I'm using Manjaro with wine-staging 7.4 since that was the only wine version that worked for me.

Still, at the end of a single player mission campaign, the game crashes.

Also crashes at alt-tab, but that would be another, and minor, issue.

crashes with lutris wine gog install in linux

System:

• Ubuntu 20.04
• lutris-0.5.16 with wine-ge-8-26-x86_64
• window managers tested: xmonad, xfce4
• worms2 from gog
• worms2plus v1.5.8

problem

• installation gave no errors
• worm2 gog worked fine
• starting worms2plus via frontend.exe
• game is not starting, no black screen, window etc.
• after less than 1 sec it terminates
• lutris log:

wine client error:118: Monitored process exited.
Initial process has exited (return code: 0)
Exit with return code 0

workaround

• it works when i switch lutris to system wine wine-5.0 (Ubuntu 5.0-3ubuntu1)

question

• how to install this with good odds to have it working?
• could there be an install-script for lutris (with known-good dependencies etc.)?

Ingame Dutch language issue.

First of all, i want to thank you so much CarlMundo for releasing this great patch.
I did buy the worms 2 game form gog and after this patch it works fine.

I did installed it as the Dutch version and it displays the Dutch texts as intended.

But when you are ingame, the texts are in english!
I mean when a worm dies or when a crate is dropped.
This also should be in Dutch.

Is there a file im missing in order to fix this minor issue?

Game displayed in one corner of the screen

After installation of the Worms 2 Plus package the game is only displayed in one corner of the screen.
Any fix for this?

Hello! I'm Ben, also known in the community as Squirminator2k. I'm the person who originally went to the effort of converting the English speechbanks from Worms and Worms: The Director's Cut on the Amiga for use in W2/WA/WWP.

I would appreciate it immensely if I were properly credited for this conversion, and if you could also credit Andy Davidson (who voices the English speechbank in the Amiga version).

Hello im trying to host a game for testing, when im trying this error comes out of the blue:

This is really weird since i do have Worms 2 Plus installed in my computer, it does seems to happen for other pepole as an certain user in the Worms 2 discord server had the same error as mine.

Any fixes ?

Game asks for missing .DLL files

This is probably a dumb question, but what should I download? Should I download a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package?
I'm using Windows XP to play.

Multiplayer doesn't work

Can't get the multiplayer working.

Have port forwarded everything correctly and I'm able to create a room and a game. The other person can join the room and see the game, but when attempting to connect to the game it just says "Now searching for a worms 2 game" indefinitely.

Any ideas?
