scrollingtextmask's Issues

Hardcoded Display Size makes adoption to bigger panels difficult

First of all - thanks a ton for your project, I've been wanting to do something similar and your code saved me a lot of hours. I'm using a 16x16 matrix and couldn't get the result initially. What I've noticed is that the width is "hardcoded" in the getIndex functions - replacing the "8" with the variable "display_width" solved my issues, this would be beneficially to adapt as it allows easy migration to bigger matrices.

#for the Adafruit NeoMatrix grid
def getIndex(x, y):
x = display_width-x-1
return (x*8)+y
#use for the flex grid
def getIndex2(x, y):
x = display_width-x-1
if x % 2 != 0:
return (x*8)+y
else:
return (x*8)+(7-y)
