Describe the bug
I made a fresh profile to test the new updates, installed it as instructed and am coming across several issues. The only setting I changed was --uc-urlbar-min-width: 0vw.
Currently icons are in the wrong place and overlap, the tab bar isn't visible, sometimes the oneline breaks and the tab bar shows separately.
My guess is that the default settings are messing things up?
The video below will showcase the bugs I'm experiencing.
Expected behaviour
Taken from my current setup, when not focused the url bar shrinks so the top bar can be entirely filled with tabs.

Hey,
as the title states I can't live without the back button and re-enabled it. This causes the more tools button to be partly hidden like in the following picture:
Is there an easy fix for this? I messed around with the CSS file but I don't seem to grasp it.
Thanks a lot for this great theme by the way (:!
P.S. I re-enabled the back button by just deleting line 145.
It would be a great option if there was a way to hide the url bar until a user focuses on it by hovering so tabs get maximum space.
I know this has been discussed here #20 already but with the theme below I think you could work something out.
This theme is sort of what I had in mind.
Could you perhaps copy over the relevant css code and tweak it to work with cascade (I have no idea how it works)?
Hi,
I really like your css and use it currently :) .... but there is one thing I'm missing and I don't know how to bring it back -- the lock indicator in the URL bar to see if I use HTTPS + reach the certificate information of the page when double-clicked.
could you give me a hint how to bring it back?
thx
Hello, I'm facing addons installation notification stuck, can't be closed and sometimes blinked, is there any CSS rule to hide the notification permanently, and I need to restart the browser to make the notification disappear. This also applied to other notification that rely on hamburger menu. The hamburger menu already disappear but this problem still occur, I remember it's mentioned on the readme, but now seems it's not mentioned any-more after several update.
Any pointer is appreciated. Thank you.
when i comment out the default color for the theme to use the firefox color. It is not working at all.
It's might be only happening in my case maybe, but I would suggest changing the --secondary-colour to #464646.
It's much easier to see what is the active tab right now!
For example, press Ctrl+F
to search for the word "Pull" on the current page, or press /
to search for the word "Get" on this page.
Is it possible to raise the status panel when the find bar or the quick find bar is present?
Currently, choosing white colors for --window-colour
and --secondary-colour
makes the text and icons invisible when the Firefox theme is dark.
Normally this isn't an issue since white theme users would probably apply the userChrome.css
on a white Firefox theme but in my case I want to have a script to change between light and dark theme based on day time and your CSS file makes it really easy to just set the two colors, I would love if I also had the possibility to set the icons and text color.
It would be a great option if there was a way to hide the url bar until a user focuses (Ctrl+L) so tabs get maximum space.
First of all, thanks for this great theme!
Describe the bug
When in light mode, when I hit cmd-l to focus the URL quick switch bar and then use the up and down arrow keys it's not clear which item I am selecting (to go to when I hit return), sometimes the color of the text changes on the selected item, but that's only in the firefox suggest area.
The only way I know which item I'm currently selected on is that text to the right appears "Search with Google" as shown in the screenshot.
The background should darken around the currently selected item in this dropdown.
Updated firefox 107.0b3 and then i got a problem using cascade vertical tabs, https://i.imgur.com/057bzAu.gif
any solution? Thanks!
Hi. I would like to suggest support for MicaForEveryone to make the whole title bar, i.e. search bar+tabs row, transparent.
Thank you.
Describe the bug
When I click in the "X" button in the Side view panel, it will freeze the resizing functionality and the view doesn't actually close.
edit: i forgot to mention that this behavior doesn't happen when I remove the @import 'integrations/side-view/cascade-sideview.css';
line.
Expected behavior
When I click in the button, the side view gets closed
I changed the colour of the tabs to a lighter shade and I wish to change the colour of tab text (not just the selected tab but all the tabs since the background of all tabs is a bluish colour) to a darker shade but so far I have been unsuccessful. I couldn't find anything about changing tab text on google and I am lost right now.
Can you point me on how to accomplish this?
Thanks!

Describe the bug
I'm using Firefox 105.0.3 on Windows 10, and cascade has layout and color bugs as shown in the screenshot:
The previous cascade's color also doesn't work on Windows Firefox
This screenshot is taken after a clean install of Firefox, without any add-on or config.
Expected behavior
The tabs should be displayed as show in the README, not squeezed into a tiny region, and colors should work.
Additional info
I found commenting the following line will make the URL bar under the tab bar and that works fine. But I want the oneliner style
Screenshots (optional)
like when the firefox theme is set to light the cascade theme would be light and when the firefox theme would be dark the cascade theme would be dark
The box around the urlbar is moved to cover up the "more tools" button and/or the burger menu (anything to the right of the url bar, really) if the forward/back buttons are re-enabled (anything to the left of the url bar).
However, they are also only covered up when the url bar is inactive. If it's active, they'll show.
It seems that by default, the overflow menu stays on the right side of the search bar, and left to the tabs, but I want to move it all the way to the right. How can I do this? Firefox doesn't let me grab it as if it was another toolbar item...
Sorry if this has been answered before and I haven't seen it yet.
Firefox 106.0
MacOS 12.6
Thank you in advance!
If a user comments out the block suggested in userChrome.css the browers title bar will appear transparent and glitchy (Fedora 35). It seems that defaults are not assumed for the theme variables if they are commented out.
I want to make the url bar smaller and when I tried to set the 500 here to 400: --uc-urlbar-width: clamp(200px, 40vw, 500px);
, the 2 arrow button with extensions disappears. And when I clicked on it, it reappeared but was above a tab and the search results/suggestions area was not the same width as the urlbar-width.
How can I make my urlbar width smaller but still maintain the amazing style of cascade?
is it currently possible to force the cascade CSS colors? Firefox by default is light theme, so the cascade light colors apply as well.
a workaround is to have the same colors for dark and light themes.
how i can return the windows controls?
@andreasgrafen Anyway just wanna say thank you. This theme really make me love firefox again. it's really really compact that make me able to save space even with menu bar enabled! Thank you!

Hey! I'm happy that you're now happy to use Firefox again. I didn't think it would have that much of an impact.. so I'm not really sure what to say but thank you. :D
Hey there,
thanks for making that theme. It looks awesome and works perfectly together with i3wm because of it's minimalistic deign.
With this theme the addon-icons are hidden. Is there some way where I still can use addons?
First of all, thanks for the simple but amazing theme.

The download prompt is completely white for me (screenshot attached).

Hi there. I found this great firefox theme and it's visually amazing. But I really need the menu button that come with the original Firefox theme. I commented out a few related lines in the theme file https://github.com/andreasgrafen/cascade/blob/98d50efef103b06fd61a3cc80fe9fabfb921c391/userChrome.css#L116-L128, but that didn't work as I expected.
I would like to ask if it is possible to restore the display of the menu button and have it on the far right side of the title bar? Thanks.
i have found this plugin :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/adaptive-tab-bar-color/
and i think it will be more awsome if this theme can change tabbar color
Hi, just a small comment. The userChrome.css is badly formatted.
There are lots of white spaces in between lines, and maybe the comments should have 1 white space each letter for readability? :)
Maybe format it with a tool such as prettier? Although I can't find CSS support for prettier at the moment, maybe another tool?
Anyways, thanks for your release. Tested it, looks pretty simple and solid
For example:
/* Config */
:root {
--bar-bg: #303035;
--tab-active-bg: #404045;
}
/* General */
window,
#main-window,
#toolbar-menubar,
#TabsToolbar,
#PersonalToolbar,
#navigator-toolbox,
#sidebar-box,
#nav-bar {
background-color: var(--bar-bg) !important;
-moz-appearance: none !important;
background-image: none !important;
border: none !important;
box-shadow: none !important;
}
.titlebar-buttonbox {
display: none;
}
#tabbrowser-tabs[haspinnedtabs]:not([positionpinnedtabs])>#tabbrowser-arrowscrollbox>.tabbrowser-tab[first-visible-unpinned-tab] {
margin-inline-start: 0 !important;
}
#TabsToolbar {
margin-top: -1px !important;
margin-bottom: 1px !important;
margin-left: 25vw !important;
}
Ho can I make url bar shorter or sonething assign max-width to it. I can already do something like that but it also cover firefox menu. If not How can I move firefox menu to the front?
