Usage

1. Make sure You have Papirus Icon Theme installed

2. Clone this repository and change to cloned directory:

   git clone https://github.com/catppuccin/papirus-folders.git
   cd papirus-folders
   

3. Copy content of src to /usr/share/icons/Papirus/:

   sudo cp -r src/* /usr/share/icons/Papirus  
   

4. Use modified papirus-folders script to set colors of folders. For example to set Catppuccin-Mocha-Blue folders for Papirus-Dark theme:

   ./papirus-folders -C cat-mocha-blue --theme Papirus-Dark
   

5. To check all available colors:

   ./papirus-folders -l
   

   all colors are named as cat-"flavour"-"colour"

   for example:

   cat-latte-lavender, cat-frappe-green, cat-macchiato-red...

6. Visit Papirus-folders to learn more about this script

For Arch Linux Users

With your favorite AUR helper, install with:

yay -S papirus-folders-catppuccin-git

then you could run papirus-folders -h to see all available command. Bash & ZSH completions are included.

Setting another theme does not affect the Videos folder

Using papirus-folders-git and changing the theme to nordic:

Using papirus-folders-catppuccin-git and changing the theme to nordic:

Stop modifying upstream papirus-folders script

Since, papirus-folders v1.13.0 supports auto-detect available colors. See PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-folders@f4313e9
So you don't need to override the upstream papirus-folders script with your install script anymore.

Low contrast when using Latte Mauve icons

As can be seen in the image preview section, this specific combination provides little contrast. Would it be possible to change it to another color instead of gray?

According to the style documents (https://github.com/catppuccin/catppuccin/blob/main/docs/style-guide.md#syntax-colors), one can use base on top of mauve.

papirus-folders: Error: Unable to find 'cat-blue' color in 'Papirus-Dark'

when i try running ./papirus-folders -C cat-blue --theme Papirus-Dark it doesnt work
when i run ./papirus-folders -l it only shows the default papirus-folders colors
i tried using copying the src/* files to Papirus-Dark as well to see if it would work, but it didnt
(i also tried uninstalling and reinstalling papirus)

No changes happening on Arch Linux

I installed papirus-folders on arch, and ran

papirus-folders -C cat-mocha-red --theme Papirus-Dark

However I'm not seeing any changes to the Papirus-Dark icons when I look in the Appearance settings. Is there something more that needs to be done? I also tried the papirus-folders command with sudo just for good measure, but with no results.

I'm trying this on arch with xfce and nemo.
