    • Mettre en place les mises à jour requises dans de courts délais;
    • Réduire les coûts de développement et de maintenance;
    • Assurer que les exigences Canada.ca sont mises en œuvre de façon uniforme;
    • Permettre la gestion centralisée de la couche de présentation de tous les actifs Web d’ici le 31 décembre 2017 en utilisant des gabarits centralisés.
  • Conforme à l’Initiative du renouvellement du Web;
  • Conforme aux Spécifications du contenu et de l’architecture de l’information pour Canada.ca;
  • Comprend un processus de versions pour les mises à jour de la BOEW;

Pour plus d’information à propos de la SGDC, veuillez consulter le site de documentation de la SGDC.

Documentation for the Centrally Deployed Templates Solution (CDTS)

CDTS: Centrally Deployed Templates Solution, IITB Branch Award: Excellence in Transforming our Business/Operations, GTEC: Distinction Awards

Please visit the wet-boew/cdts-sgdc repository for the source code of CDTS.

What is the Centrally Deployed Templates Solution (CDTS)?

The purpose of the CDTS is essentially to deliver the presentation layer of the Canada.ca theme or Intranet.canada.ca theme to web assets. It decouples the presentation layer from the business logic of a static website or web application and allows rapid updates across multiple networks.

The CDTS will help you meet the target option on the maturity model presented by Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) for the Web Renewal Initiative (WRI). Easily implement the following:

  • Keep pace with the frequency of Canada.ca updates:
    • Implement updates within the required narrow timeframes;
    • Reduce ongoing development and maintenance costs;
    • Ensure Canada.ca requirements are implemented consistently;
    • Enable centralized management of the presentation layer of all web assets by December 31st 2017 with centrally deployed templates.
  • Aligned to Government of Canada (GoC) WRI;
  • Aligned to Canada.ca Look and Feel (Information Architecture standard);
  • Includes “versioning” process for Web Experience Toolkit (WET) updates.

More information about the CDTS is available on the CDTS's documentation site.

Update docunentation for .46 once released

Documentation (english and french) should be update with new features mentioned in 4.0.46.

(Note that for now the files to update would the guide-decl-*.html files - these are the new guide that will become effective once we reveal the document.write replacement. The actual guides are the ones without "decl" in the name, but they will be replaced by the new ones eventually)

"showPreContent" example missing

The intranet documentation talks about "showPreContent", but there is not example of it. It needs to be added in both the English and French versions.

Documentation for IntranetTitle is not updated

We need to add the following definitions in the /docs/intranet-en.html and /docs/intranet-fr.html documentation in both languages.

From this:

"intranetTitle": [{
	"text": "Custom title",
	"url": "#"
}]

To this:

"intranetTitle": [{
    "href": "http://esdc.prv/en/index.shtml",
    "text": " IntraWeb",
    "boldText" : "ESDC/SC",
    "acronym": "Employment and Social Development Canada / Service Canada"
}]

And explain what each variant stands for.
