SGTabbedPager

Port of SGViewPager for Xamarin.iOS

Installing

Grab the latest version from NuGet

> PM Install-Package SGTabbedPager

or for MvvmCross

> PM Install-Package SGTabbedPagerMvx

Usage

Make your UIVievController inherit from SGTabbedPager or if you are using MvvmCross SGTabbedPager<TViewModel>. Implement the ISGTabbedPagerDatasource interface to provide pages to the pager.

Make sure you set the DataSource on your ViewControll to your ISGTabbedPagerDatasource implementation.

Use TabColor to set the color of the indicator on each tab item.

Listening to page changes

Use the event OnShowViewController to get the index of the selected UIViewController.

OnShowViewController += (s, e) => Console.WriteLine($"Showing Page {e}");

Position tabbed pager bar on bottom

Use the ShowOnBottom proprety to show the tabbed pager bar on the bottom. This will adjust the Constraints to position it on the bottom of the page.

Integration with Xamarin Forms

Is it possible to integrate with Xamarin Forms, creating custon render?

Is there a way to change the background color of the tab area?

Thanks for creating/porting this over! It works great. One thing that I haven't figured out yet - is there a way to change the background color of the tab header area?

Update to MvvmCross 6.x

Some references prevent child class of SGTabbedPager to get collected by GC

The view that inherits from the SGTabbedPager class doesn't get disposed correctly when it disappears from the UI e.g. when the user navigates to another view.

Apparently the reason are some references that prevent the GC to collect the view. With the following changes in SGTabbedPager.cs I could achieve that the view gets disposed correctly.

If desired I can create a pull request.

Custom TitleScrollView leading and trailing space

I want custom the leading and trailing space on titlescrollview, so titlescrollview content more compact, where should I change?

Support for icon / image next to header

I would like to have the possibility to add a icon / image next to the header.
Left or right to the text. Maybe even a badge with a numeric value

Add support for having each header have its own color

This could be implemented by adding GetTitleColor or similar to ISGTabbedPagerDatasource.

This would allow to have different colors for each selected header.

Can you provide a working example for the MvxSGTabbedPager implementation?

Adjust tab view for largest font.

Currently the tabs size themselves according to HeaderFont. However, SelectedHeaderFont can be bigger, I.e. Bold. Which means the text in the tab will be truncated.
