jackmarshall's Issues

Pairing down odd number of players

When pairing down an odd number of players, the steamroller specify that:

  • A player should not be paired down more than once,
  • A player should only be paired down with a player of the next bracket;

The second point especially is mishandled: during B&R, we had the case when a player would be paired down two ranks, probably because the solver's penalty for one player paired down two ranks is less than that of two players paired down one rank.

Sortable tables

It would be good to have sortable tables, for example to sort the result table by scenario points, destruction points, SOS, or the round table by the number of victory of the players at the table.

Notify of down pairings

Two players having already played together are marked as such in the round listing, but not down pairing, which would be useful. Additionnally, a victory count for each player would be nice.

Reduce the UI size

Generally speaking, the UI is wide-spaced, which is a problem when a tournament has a high number of players as the user has to scroll frequently to access any information.

Games history messed up

During B&R, we had a case of games history being messed up. Probably culprit is the network being down during the first round pairing swap, which led to the update with game results being misattributed, and subsequent rounds being generated based on the wrong history.

Two players can have the same name

And it lead so some bugs:

  • The second one doesn't appear in the result page
  • The results of the first one is the sum of their results, match when they paired are counted twice
  • If both players are paired, the second one's played list isn't counted as player
