Should this script use the author provided by the meta files?

That's the question right...

Comments are not imported

There is a problem with the import script and the current version of the blogtng plugin.
Since in the importscript the commentstatus field for the entries is not set, the comments are not importet (or more exactly not written to the sqlite db by the blogtng rountines). Setting the commentstatus at import of the entry to "enabled" solves this.
Also new comments on imported sites are not saved for the same reason.

NS import doesn't work with the current DokuWiki version

The ft_pageLookup function has been changed in the current version and now returns an array where the keys are the ids and the values the titles of the pages. Additionally, it's second parameter is $in_ns which determines if the namespace of the page should be searched. The import scripts sets it to false which makes the search only match the ids (and not the namespace at all).

Comment status is always visible

The blogtng plugin automatically sets the status to visible so the status that is set in the import script isn't used at all. Either the import script needs to set the status e.g. with an update or the blogtng plugin needs to be changed.
