Simple slack notification module (yet an other one)

Usage

import { notify } from 'node-slack-notify';

notify({
  webhookUrl: 'YOUR_OWN_WEBHOOK_URL', // starts with "/services/.."
  data: {
    text: 'Hello'
  }
});

The data property takes the same configuration you find in the docs here: https://api.slack.com/docs/messages

Ohh and the notify() function is a promise ..

Attachments and 400 error

Could not get attachments and some formatting to work. After removal of one line in the header and changing a second line it now works.

Old:
const data = JSON.stringify({ text: args.data.text });

New:
const data = JSON.stringify({ text: args.data.text, attachments: args.data.attachments });

Old:
headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json', 'Content-Length': data.length }

New:
headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json' }

I can now send data like this:
data: { "text": "This is text", "attachments": [ { "text": "" } ] }

Add meaningful error messages

And possibly organize it out from lib, there is no need for a lib folder
