argunetbrowser's Issues

Twitter surveys / votes

Use social media, especially twitter, to vote on arguments. Each argument is assigned a unique hashtag (e.g., #arg0123). To express support of the argument one twitters the arg's hastag plus #pro; to express denial one twitters #con and the arg's hashtag. We use the Twitter Streaming API to create voting statistics for each argument. Then, in each node (bottom line), four things are shown: 1. Pro button, opens a corresponding tweet (https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons); 2. Con button, opens a corresponding tweet; 3. Number of pro votes; 4. Number of con votes.

NB.: We must make sure that arg-hashtags are globally unique, i.e., not only intra- but inter-debate. We must also account for the possibility that one and the same arg is shown at different sites. Part of a possible solution: arg db; unique tiny urls for args.

Show detailed argument reconstructions

Provide a plug-in that allows one to visluaize detailed argument reconstructions. When double-clicking on an argument node, the webp age, in which the borwser is embedded, dakens and ontop of the black area, in a white frame, the detailed premiss-conclusion structure of the argument (plus additional infos such as further links) are shown. In the premiss-conclusion view, small arrows next to the sentences indicate which premisses are attacked/supported. Clicking on these arrows allows one to jump to the respective argument (either: detailed reconstruction or node in the map).
