Make Enabling & Disabling Chroma Control Better

I believe this is a feature request, although it may already be possible ...

It would be good to be able to set up a shortcut/macro/whatever to be able to disable Chroma Control without having to open Razer and toggle the switch within the app. I cannot find a way to do this, is this currently possible?

Either that, or to have Chroma Control allow individual control over Corsair devices.

I have a rather niche use case for this, so I totally understand if it's not a priority - but I have my PC connected to monitors in 2 different rooms, one that has razer devices, and one that doesn't. I would like to be able to sync some of my corsair devices in the room that also has Razer devices, or to be able to have a keyboard shortcut to turn off Chroma Control when I move between rooms.

Hi! First of all, thanks for the hard work.
I couldn't get Aura Connect to work at all, no matter what I did, but with this at least it shows up in my Synapse!

I followed all the instructions, but it does not seem to react to Synapse in any ways.
Not sure what to do next, but I wanted to let you know. I have the 3080 Asus TUF GPU.

Issue regards of corsair Ram?

I notice from time to time that ram (corsair vengeance RGB pro) I currently have seems to be always stuck on fixed colour (usually orange). As well the logo on my motherboard (B450-F) doesn't seem to light up at all. I just generally want to see if anything I can do to help to improve this software since its amazing indeed!

Yesterday, it would work perfectly and sync everything in terms of my RGB products, it just now I have these two issues mentioned above. This is my first time submitting an issue on GitHub but if you need any information or logs to diagnose this, do let me know.

Don’t know how to setup

I was using your auraconnect app until recently it stopped working. I opened an issue and you replied by saying auraconnect has been replaced by chromacontrol. But I have absolutely no idea on how to setup this. Can you please help.

The reason this tool doesn't work is because the GUID is invalid.

The reason this does not work is because an Invalid/Unsupported GUID is passed to the Razer Broadcast Library.

As far as I can tell, you have to ask razer for a supported GUID for the broadcast API.

The only thing I had to do to get the iCue support working was to set the GUID to removed which is the ID for Chroma Control - Corsair

That is the only supported ID for Corsair at the moment.

The fix should be the same for Aura but I currently do not have any Aura devices.
The GUID used in AuraConnect is removed which is the ID for ASUS and should work for the Aura plugin of ChromaControl, but I am not able to test it.

If you're wondering how I got that ID, I ran this app through a native debugger and managed to dump the decrypted contents of the broadcast.dat (which is actually just a JSON file) from memory. That file contains all the supported IDs for the Broadcast API.

I assume normally you just wouldn't want to just hijack an id, and rather get your own. Though I have no idea where you would go to request this, but at least this works for me in the meantime.

worked but stopped

installed the chroma control initial release and everything worked without issue, then three days ago it just stopped I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing seems to work, even tried the beta, after uninstalling restarting and reinstalling. Tired the beta version and it shows up inside of synapse but when activated all if the lighting in the case goes dark. I have made sure that bios and all other updates are done windows, synapse, NVidia, etc etc. Seems that the issues started after the news round of windows updates were installed but I to be honest cannot conform the timeline. Any help would be much appreciated as it worked fantastic just recently.

Wallpaper Engine stops Chroma Control from working!

Yes I have installed everything correct and I have removed and reinstalled everything but I am still having the same issue. When my PC starts up everything is working in sync Razer, Wallpaper Engine, and ICUE for the RAM, but once it changes to a new wall paper Chroma Control become unreachable. It will not start working again until I stop wallpaper engine and stop and start Chroma Control again or restart my PC.

Could you please inform or document if there are any requirements like aura connect had, where you had to have aura armory crate or asus aura installed ?

Or is this one fully stand alone and not dependent on anything else ?

Add Testing & Debugging Documentation

I'm not a C# developer but I'd like to help test and debug this extension. I think it would be worth it to add instructions on how to run and debug the extension to the README file, I downloaded Visual Studio community edition and took a look at the code but I'm still trying to figure out how to debug this.

gskill ram does not sync

eight of the RAMs are sync in armoury crate, but only four are recognized in razer synapse

Connected but not working in Studio

Hi Sir,

Both the Corsair and Asus are detected. However, upon going to studio to set it up, it doesn't work.

not working with advanced animations

as title says, i downloaded and tested the software today.
asus b450 plus mobo, 2x Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer rgb (addressable), 2 regular non-addressable rgb strips connected to mobo, amd wraith non-addressable rgb cooler, synapse 3 with a cynosa v2 keyboard connected.

using the "normal" effects from synapse (solid colour, breathing, spectrum cycle, audio meter), rgb strips, ram and cooler make the effect as the keyboard but not syncing colour, except with audiometer which synced the pattern and colour, even after applying to any other chroma enabled devices (by using the button next to the drop down menu) only audiometer syncs colour.
any other animations leave the strips, cooler and ram with the last working alteration made, and the advanced effects render the aura "device" leaving all leds off.

as an elite:dangerous player, i use a app for synapse that gives game related animations and key marking with the lights and colours. (faded unneeded keys, red for attack keys, blue for defence keys, etc) -- https://github.com/poveden/EliteChroma
with this app enabled while playing the game, ram shows some animations, strips and cooler go dark and flash in what seems to be randomly, but i think it might have a actual sequence to it. makes me believe that your app is reading from one exclusive key or set of keys and tries to show what that/those key/s are showing.
also, by using this app, there is a small variation in colour depending of my location ingame (from a light blue when in space, to a light faint green when i am docked in a station). surprised how it works, even if limited, in this situation with an extra app, and doesnt work with the built razer software options.
despite the amount of rgb items in my case connected to aura, your app only shows 1 connection in synapse, but i see 4 dots in it. would be great if each dot represents a aura device (as my example, strips which are connected on the same hub, therefore same mobo connector, 2 dims ram, cooler, 4 devices) and we could somehow change values for each device individually, opening a bigger option also to the creator of the other app for elite:dangerous.
would this be achieved in future? in a fairly long future.......

Can't open AsIO3.sys

After installing the utility, I get this error message on Windows startup every time:

Failed with error code 5: Access is denied.

The error appears only when Synapse is already open in the system tray. If I close Synapse, the error goes away and then when I start Synapse manually again, the lighting controls all work as expected.

I think possibly adding a delay on Synapse startup with Windows will be a workaround?

ASUS Armory Crate and Synapse are updated to the latest versions.

Installed but not working on Chroma Studio

Chroma Controller installed and enabled, however Chroma Studio on Synapse not applying the effects to ASUS MB. Have tried creating new effects but the effect doesnt apply to the Motherboard circle, but it works on my other Razer devices.

Doesn't work for me

Hi!

It doesn't seem to work for me, I've tried changing every settings I could but with no success.

The only way I can still change the effects are from Armory Crate software and any change done from Razer Synapse doesn't change anything.

I'm using an Assus TUF Laptop (XF505DT) and maybe it's not compatible with it?

Icue control not showing up under Synapse

Not sure what the issue is, but my Corsair keyboard is not showing up under Synapse, I'm not sure if this is due to a recent update to ICue software or something else. ICue knows the device is being used by another third party controller but Synapse doesn't show any connected devices like it does on my personal rig at home with ASUS Sync software.

Hey! I really appreciate you making an attempt at making this work. My main use is to make this work with Opera GX, and possibly my voice assistant, which can't be done in Corsair iCUE. I installed it, but nothing shows. I have both Chroma Studio and Chroma Connect modules installed. I'm using the k55 keyboard.

MSIX Beta Corsair issues

with the beta i've found that my corsair devices will either have the wrong lights, be missing lights, like a whole stick of ram going dark, or will simply turn off, like my mouse.

the issues go away when the MSIX Beta corsair is manually crashed.

as long is its not running, I have full control over all asus, corsair, and razer rgb at the same time.

my Vengeance RGB PRO RAM is fine, and so is my NightSword mouse.

it seems that just having the plugins installed makes everything work. actually running the software is what causes problems.

Integration with Cooler Master

Found this program out today and I love it.

I won't pretend to know the first thing when it comes to APKs, but any integration with MasterPlus would be great. All my case fans are Cooler Master, so it's be great to have everything synced up.

ChromaControl.Cue.exe using 50% or more of CPU

after installing this version the ChromaControl.Cue.exe started using 50% of my CPU, across all 12 cores.

the ChromaControl.Aura.exe in this release seems to not function at all, but that might be related to me also having Aura Connect installed previously.

ASUS "Unreachable"?

First off, you're doing amazing things here, and I love this project! I installed the ChromaControl, and it's showing up in my Razer Synapse. Armoury Crate can control my ram just fine, but when I go to Synapse, I can't do anything with it. There are two ASUS bubbles that show up in Chroma Studio. One is "Aura Sync, ASUS" which says Unreachable in the studio, and the other one is "Chroma Control - ASUS",and it also says "Unreachable", but neither respond. I don't have the older version "Aura Connect" installed either. Do you know how to fix this issue?

Not Appearing in Razer Synapse

After installing the file, none of my corsair and ASUS aura products appeared in Razer Synapse... Is there some step I'm missing? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Asus Aura not showing up on Razer Synapse

After installing I opened Razer Synapse but it says that there is no razer compatible device connected.

Color does not sync with Corsair Dark Core SE

I tried you're earliest version of corsair plugin and it syncs the fans and k95 keyboard but leaves the color off on the Dark Core SE

I had the Aura sync working and could change my Aura settings through synapse, but before I found the product that also links my corsair products, I was fiddling with different software that I have since uninstalled, but both before and after I uninstalled it, the aura settings had been unavailable to me through synapse. I uninstalled the ICUE software, the synapse software and re-installed the armory crate for aura settings, then installed the Chroma control software, however I can't see/access any of the other products/light settings in the synapse studio. When I went to ICUE software and attempted to turn my keyboard lights on, it told me, "lightings are exclusively controlled by a third party application." So in some way it is being recognized.... is there a synapse setting to accept third party lighting through your software? Have I missed something?

Nothing showing in Synapse

Just built a new PC with Asus Sync stuff and wanted it to sync with my Synapse stuff. Installed your app, checked Synapse, and I don't see anything on there at all about Asus Sync

Document iCUE Configurations When Using ASUS Motherboard

Hi, I used this to connect my ASUS motherboard and Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM but for some reason having this program installed causes the lights on the RAM to simply go out. If I uninstall the program I regain control and they come back which is odd. ASUS component works great, only having this issue with Corsair RAM. The Corsair module shows up in Synapse under Chroma Connect devices but disabling that in Synapse doesn't turn the lighting back on and no settings in Synapse control the lighting/turn it back on. iCUE shows the RAM as being controlled by a third party.

Ensure Chroma Control Works With Sleep

Wonderful work on this, I've followed over from the Aura Connect project, and everything is syncing up nicely.

Unfortunately, like Aura Connect, Chroma Control is preventing my machine from sleeping.
I know this isn't a high priority for everyone, most keep their machines on 24/7

My unscientific approach to arrive at this conclusion was:
Install Chroma Control, set CPU timeout to 1min. Wait. CPU doesn't sleep
Uninstall Chroma Control. Wait. CPU sleeps.
Reinstall Chroma Control. Wait. CPU doesn't sleep.
Uninstall Chroma Control. Wait. CPU sleeps.
Reinstall Chroma Control. Wait. CPU doesn't sleep.
..and so on.

For Aura Connect, you mentioned that in order to resolve the issue, you would need to rewrite in a different language. I hope that isn't the case here.

I will continue to use your great work regardless. Thank you for developing this.

Mise a jour razer Chroma

Good evening everyone, this little Chroma control works great. On the other hand, the razer update has taken place and causes little synchronization problems.
think it's related because the razer vizualiser works niquel and the quick effects works too
The problem comes only from Chroma Studio, asus is available and accessible but impossible to add any effect and save it. Tell me if you have the same problem

Not showing up in Synapse

Installed the Chroma Control app for Corsair products. Installer finishes but I do not see Chroma Control listed under devices.

Not Working / Not showing up

I had Aura Connect but that didn't work so I decided to install Chroma controller(aura addition), before I did this I uninstalled aura connect and razer synapse. When I went to install chroma controller right after I just installed synapse, it installed but all it did was freeze my lights in my computer and it didn't even show or change synapse at all. Please help me fix this issue.

Error message on boot - AsIO3.sys

The program works fine, however on boot I need to wait for the below error message (which comes up twice), once I click OK then it syncs with Synapse.

Chroma connect conflicts with msi dragon center. It also lights up one ram stick and sometimes flicker 2 ram sticks.

Software doesn't change RGB of my Corsair H100iGTX

So I got pretty much everything working except my watercooler, which will only stay the colour I set before enabling the SDK.
From what I see in the log, it doesn't seem to find my watercooler at all, even though it is clearly in the devices section of iCUE.
