make: ***[install] Error 1

I'm trying to install cheetah these days, but I can't jump up next level because of this issues
OS : centos linux release 7.9.2009

[teset@localhost cheetah_pal]$ cd build
[teset@localhost build]$ make
[ 95%] Built target cheetah
[100%] Built target cheetah-pal
[teset@localhost build]$ sudo make install
[ 95%] Built target cheetah
[100%] Built target cheetah-pal
Install the project...
-- Install configuration: "Release"
-- Installing: /lib/libcheetah.so.1
-- Up-to-date: /lib/libcheetah.so
-- Installing: /bin/cheetah-pal
-- Removed runtime path from "/bin/cheetah-pal"

if I put "sudo make install" on terminal, it works
but if I put "make install" on terminal, it shows me a error message

[teset@localhost build]$ make install
[ 95%] Built target cheetah
[100%] Built target cheetah-pal

CMake Error at source/libcheetah/cmake_install.cmake:55 (FILE):
file INSTALL cannot set permissions on "/lib/libcheetah.so.1"

I really need to know how to fix this error
