This issue focus on section 4. The idea of this section is to display aggregated metrics for all groups.
These metrics should be retrievable from the stats-api (consult @jepp2078 for help). The stats-api is reachable add: https://stats-api.cloudnativenordics.com
The metrics we want to highlight are the following:
The definition of done for this issue both includes making it work on mobile devices and fetching the data via the stats-api.
It would be great if we could filter by city also, to see which companies helped in which cities.
Just spotted this. We need this before our talk :)
We need to mention that Digital Ocean is sponsoring the infra that we host our sites on.
Due to the many bot creations on Slack, we are looking into Cloudflare Turnstile, so create automatic validation, before allowing people to use the slack community form
This issue focuses on section 5. This section should help our users with knowledge about upcoming events within the Cloud Native Nordics community.
The data for this should be fetched through the stats-api and only show upcoming events. If no events are scheduled, just write a short message: "No events scheduled". Consult @jepp2078 on how to get this data if you are in doubt.
On the left side, a cloud native nordics logo should be centered both horizontally and vertically.
The definition of done for this issue includes making this work on a mobile device as well.
We need to create a page that displays the details about the meetup
Eg. https://cloudnativenordics/meetup/{Meetup-ID}
This page should display statistics about the meetup, the schedule and links to the slides if available.
This issue focuses on section 2, which handles Slack invitation emails. The functionality of the input field and email invitation sending is already implemented and should be working.
Definition of done for this issue is to align the overall styling with the mock-up or at least close to, and also handle mobile devices, by making the input field and text fill the screen.
Before we can migrate to this new website, we need to provide a way for users to join the Slack Community.
This should be a simple input field on the frontpage, with a button to apply.
We need to redo the styling of the website to align with something like this:
When under /meetup-groups, /speakers, /sponsors, /members only the name is clickable.
The image / entire card should be clickable for easier navigation.
This issue focuses on section 3, a short description of Cloud Native Nordics. The what, how, and why?
Title: Building and scaling the adoption of Cloud Native in the nordics
We need some input and ideas for the description.
The definition of done for this issue, includes writing the description, but also make sure that this section handles mobile layouts as well.
We need to setup CI for the website to produce a docker image
We are currently displaying a search icon in the navigation bar which does not work.
Wouldn't it be easier to create a seach component, and add it to each the pages; groups, speakers, sponsors, events. This should limit the scope of the functionality and hopefully make it easier instead of general search functionality that searches the entire data model.
Currently the color and state change seems a bit off. Either black or white. The hover should be a white color as well
We need to create a details page that is shown when a meetup-group is pressed.
Eg. https://cloudnativenordics/meetup-groups/Cloud-Native-Aarhus
This page should display the past and future meetups, statistics on the group and the organizer team.
thoughts @kaspernissen? I think that's neater, and matches expectations from e.g. kubernetes/website
This focuses on the last section, 6. This sections should be a footer displaying relevant contact information such as our twitter handle, link to github, and to the right a logo for our infrastructure sponsor.
The definition of done for this includes making it adaptable to mobile devices.
We need to make it explicit what a sponsor is and what a member is.
We need to create a details page for speakers.
Eg. https://cloudnativenordics/speakers/jeppejohansen
This page needs to display attendance, presentations, and affiliations.
As we will be removing the "Members" page, this should be replaced with a page displaying all upcoming events.
Upon entering my email address, I get a popup with an error. The backend query responds with the following:
{"data":{"slackInvite":"Something has gone wrong. Please contact a system administrator."}}
Add section with stats on the frontpage. Basically visualizing the stats.json
from the meetup repo.
This repo uses the HCL-based GitHub actions format deprecated on 30.09.2019.
The action should be migrated to the new format.
We need to create a sponsor details page.
Eg. https://cloudnativenordics/sponsors/whyyy
This page needs to display affiliated speakers and meetups sponsored.
Would be cool with a section on the frontpage displaying a map of the nordics with a pin for each city.
We should be able to leverage the latitude and longitudes specified here: https://github.com/cloud-native-nordics/artwork/blob/master/slide-background/generator/places.js
It would be awesome to show the next upcoming events on the Frontpage, across all groups.
