Apologies for the delay in response.
This team currently only supports consuming nfs-volume-service in the context of CloudFoundry deployed using bosh.
The packaging, running, management, and deployment of nfs-volume-service is the product deliverable.
We do not treat components such as nfs-broker as a deliverable product (It is a moving part in a bigger product that needs to work with other moving parts in the release).
Hence why we want to keep nfs-broker coupled with nfs-volume-release.
However we do agree that we can improve our "GOPATH munging". We are happy to accept cloudfoundry/nfsbroker#8 however as commented on that PR, we require some minor cleanup on the nfs-volume-release repository.
