@akrohn The plugin is destroyed & re-init'ed every time it gets called, so that's kinda weird. However, I have updated alpha opacity attribute for .bootstro-backdrop from HolyCow's fork
So could you test it again please?

Thanks for the update. But had no effect for me in this case (Chrome, Firefox)

Here is an update. Checked the dom and the reason is, that the

<div class="bootstro-backdrop"></div>

gets inserted every time start the plugin with an ASP.NET Updatepanel (means ajax-request).

So the second start-click it's there twice and therefore the opacity gets darker.

Researched the code a little bit with the chrome debugger. My suggestion would be to do

$('<div class="bootstro-backdrop"></div>').appendTo('body');

only if it's not already in the dom.

Ok. Changed the way I include the plugin and the problem is gone. You can leave it, as it is. Cheers.
