recursion error with depend_on

Looks like I've entered into recursion land. After some troubleshooting this fixed the issue.

In Sprockets\Cache\AssetCache.php

    public function isFileCached($file)
    {
        $asset = new AssetCache(new FileAsset($file), $this->cache);

        // need to keep asset cache up to date or we can run into recursion issues
        // because the asset keeps asking itself it if is cached or not, over and over...
        $this->cache->setAssetCache($asset);

        return $asset->isCached();
    }

I am able to reproduce with this manifest file setup. So I want to write a regresssion test.

array_merge Exception in StaticFilesGenerator.php

StaticFilesGenerator.php line 33 takes the output of json_decode() and runs it through array_merge(), which throws an exception in PHP 5.5.

where can i find some documentation how to use this library?

would be really nice if there could be a README with some documentation or a wiki page about how this library is intended to be used
