Resources are not deleted from the client

Hello,

I've noticed that when you delete a resource from the server interface, and remove them from the playlist, they're not deleted physically from the client (RPI), they're still in the media folder. Over time it could be problematic in matter of space... You have to remember to delete them once in a while from your media folder.

RTL support?

Couldn't find that one in the FAQ. Thanks.

Playlist view

The playlist view should only show its assigned asset(s) instead of showing all the assets.

It's a bit confusing for managing the playlist.

Cannot sign in to local hosted pisignage server and player

In view of the subject matter, I want to reset my pisignage server password, any other means because i changed the default password and now i can not log on again.

Make our own template for notice

Hello there,
Is there any way we can make our own template for notice ?
The default one has a max-width to 1000px which is kind of surprising considering we're using 1080p display, it should take the whole width don't you think ?

Anyway, at each update we have to override the t1_template.ejs so we can have our own template (different colors, blocks, etc)

PiSignage Local Server Not Working

I am having trouble connecting to the local IP it gives me:
~ WIFI is up and running properly
~ DNS: Ok
~ PING: OK
~ Rebooted and reloaded multiple times

I had it all working about a week ago and now, It boots up just fine and then sits at the "Welcome!" splash screen, it is giving me the IP to connect to, but when I try to connect it tells me that the webpage is not available. I am looking for any sort of help.

TV Shutdown CEC

Hello,

I have CEC compatible TV.

When I setup the "Enable Sleep Timer" I am under the impression that there is no CEC signal send to TV.

Is that supposed to be an active functionality or am I just doing something wrong?

TV On not working

Hi There,

I have two players that are having an issue with TV on in the morning. I have the players scheduled to go off at 9:00pm and on at 6:00am.

The TV's go off correctly but they never come back on, and when i turn the tvs on manually the players aren't outputting anything to the TV so it goes to no signal and I have to reboot the players.

I'm fairly certain the TVs have CEC turned on since they are able to be powered off by the players, and the fact that they aren't outputting anything when i manually turn the tvs back on.

Registering a player doesn't validate length of key

Missed a few characters when typing in the registration key and system happily consumed a license.

Playlist deployment

I built a player using Method 2, by installing Raspian and then installing pisignage on top.

I've noticed that when I create a playlist on the server, upload an asset, configure the timings of assets and then deploy to player, the playlist is deployed but the timings don't appear to have an effect so the player sits on the Pending screen until I connect to the player locally and edit the playlist to assign time to an asset.

I've also noticed that the Ticker config doesn't get sent to the player either.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Only Black Screen After Install

Hi, I tried both of the method to set the raspberry pi on my Pi 3 model B. Both of them only give me a black screen. No Welcome Page.

The image i tried was the 1.9.0 based on Chromium-Browser

Then I tried reinstall the Raspbian with the latest RASPBIAN JESSIE WITH DESKTOP Image ( Version:June 2017 Release date:2017-06-21 Kernel version:4.9).
And followed the instruction changed the pi password, expanded file system, enabled SSH, selected "Boot to Desktop"

If you got a chance, could you try to install player and server from scratch and record a video with all details please.

There is no date timer for publishing content

I observed that there is no date timer for publishing content. just like in cms when you can start the campaign and end it with respect to its contents.

crash on 1080p

Thanks a lot for the great software, I love it!

I just flashed 1.6.3 on to my 8 gig sd card + raspberry pi 2b.

whenever I put the resolution to 1080p, i get the first screen (with infos and so on) for a few seconds and then the Pi reboots into 720p.

Quite weird because I had 1080p running quite nicely on 1.6.1

the only thing in the error log is:

Connected but not showing assets

I am connected to Wi-Fi and it says DNS: OK, PING: FAIL, DHCP: Server: pisignage.com, Status: Connected

I have added Assets (pictures) both through the online dashboard and by connecting to the browser but nothing is showing, just the welcome screen.

Install CA certificate Trusted Root Certificate Authorities Store

I'm working on implementing PiSignage in a school on a network where all HTTPS traffic from devices must have the company CA certificate installed in the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities Store. I do this all the time on PC's and Mac's. I need help to get it into the Linux build that PiSignage runs on.

This is working on the network so far except for the YouTube links which are where the student news broadcasts are streamed from.

Can I get some help with this?

Freeze screen when restarting Raspberry Pi !

How can i delete a player from server?

While installing a case on a raspberry pi, i broke the SD card.

I then bought another one and reinstalled pisignage player.

Now in the server interface I have 2 players that are the same machine.

I would like to delete the "old" one that will never be online again since the SDcard is broken.

Any way to do that?

[Suggestion] Calendar to download new contents

Hi!

We are testing the piSignage, and I would like to suggest a new feature. Today we are using another Media Signage, and we send the new videos in comercial hour, but we would like that the download of the new media happens only in the dawn (like 2am) to not compromise our bandwith.

Could have a checkbox saying "check for new media between : and :" to force they keep checking if there is a downtime in the exactly hour.

Browser Language

A webpage I want to display recognises the local language and is displaying the content in English rather than German. I set the language with "raspi-config" to German but that didn't have any effect so I guess it depends on the browsers language.

How can I change the language of Chromium through SSH?

Hello,

when i Log in to 1 pi, I have this statement, next to the "TV" button.

"playing since 23:00:00".

I Never saw it changed and did reboot the pis a couple time (and it was never 23:00:00).

I don't really need the functionality but just so you know :)

Portrait setup not play fullscreen video?

Hello,

When a portrait setup its set, video not playing at fullscreen.

When in Settings change of landscape to portrait and pi reboot images assets show in fullscreen but video 1080 x 1920 not, only fill until at center of screen.

Volume setting

When the volume is set to 0 in the group settings, it's automatically reset the value to 100% after deployed.

Network problem

I have a problem...
In my network i have a TV Box for watching TV given by my operator. The TV Box use IGMPv2 for streaming diffusion.
When i connect the raspberry pi pisignage on the wifi network, the TV froze sometimes :(
I have increase bandwith TV but the problem can't change.

I have run tcpdump on raspberry pi and i see a weird exchange with the router.
The Rpi are 2 ip adress in arp table. Show the picture:

Multiple zones layout display issues

Hi,

It seems that there are some issues when using multiple zones layout and in my case, the 3a: Three Zones(full bottom) with Main Zone on right:

Issue 1: If I don't select Stretch images to the screen in the group settings, the image don't fit the space despite its resolution respect the zone dimension (Side Zone: 320x540, Bottom Zone: 1280x180)

Issue 2: There is a delay of about 2s before the side and bottom zones appeared on the first cycle and it seems that there is box-shadow on the side and bottom zones which doesn't look nice.

Issue 3: After the first cycle, the side and bottom zones don't show the assets anymore. It's only a black zone.

Manage Player Status Screen

I wanted to make a comment about the Status circles on the Manage Players screen. For those of us that are red/green color blind, it's really hard to tell what player is active. Could you tweak the icon color, or change it to checkmarks and Xs, or add a tooltip that displays the status?
