GUI for executing ContentMine commands - browser SPA for running locally on user's machine.

Synopsis

This is the front end GUI for executing ContentMine commands, implemented as a SPA to be run locally on the user's machine and to be displayed in the browser.

Requirements

Currently requires:

• getpapers
• quickscrape

OS Support

Currently tested in Windows environment only, but will be tested in other environments shortly.

Usage

Execute the file appropriate to your OS from either of the below:

• launchers/windows/ContentMine.bat
• launchers/mac/ContentMine.sh
• launchers/linux/ContentMine.sh

Features

As of 06/09/2016:

• GUI.
• Ability to execute commands on the server and see the output.
• A basic way of running getpapers from the GUI.

contentmine-gui's Issues

limit getpapers download

By default contentmine-gui runs till all files are downloaded. Some queries return tens od thousands and would run for hours or more.
Suggest:
(1) button to terminate job
(2) limit number of downloads by suing -k flag

Installation on Mac

(1)Must be run from directory launchers/mac to resolve relative directories, else throws an error
(2)needs npm install socket.io installed, else throws error
(3)needs npm rebuild node-sass Then it ran nicely with Getpapers on aardvark.

name output directory (`cProject`) for `getpapers`

The default use of getpapers creates output in:

C\:\\Temp\\test\\test2/

It is critical that the user can name the output directories (-o option)
