Installer for GitHub-hosted projects

For a given project hosted on GitHub, have the ability to:

• Grab the latest version of a binary from github.com/proj/repo/releases/latest, download it and unpack it to $HOME/.local/bin
• Allow a version to be specified in config or vars
• Specify a location to install (ie. /usr/local/bin)
• Validate the checksum of the binary or tarball
• Additional verification? Package signing via cosign, etc.

Generate random data

• Generate a UUID (v3, v4?)
• Random amount of bytes
• Random amount of hex characters

JSON & YAML utilites

A command to convert various JSON & YAML files between formats.

• Convert between a single YAML document and JSON object
• Convert YAML multi-doc and JSON array of objects
• Convert YAML to JSON & run against JSON Schema

datetime utilities

A command to work with various date time strings.

• Convert between epoch and ISO8601 date strings
• Timezone conversion shorthands ("given a datetime string, what is the equivalent time in zone X or Y or Z?")
• UTC, GMT now time
