Interpretation of e-value
I think I need to update the text under the graph to review to the approx. RR not the OR/RateRatio/HR here in the second instance here:
The observed Hazard Ratio of 3.9 could be explained away by an unmeasured confounder that was associated with both the treatment and the outcome by a Hazard Ratio of 7.26-fold each, above and beyond the measured confounders, but weaker confounding could not do so.
I need to double check this interpretation with some folks and will update.
add a DAG
Add a DAG to illustrate exposure, outcome, measured, and unmeasured confounders similar to the one in the Vanderweele and Ding paper. Ideally, label the E-->Y arrow with the user-provided effect estimate. Label the other two RR_EU and RR_UD.
