Quick documentation on how the QML <-> HTML interaction works?

This app seems to use a rather unique concept of interacting between a QML menu and a HTML/Javascript app in qtwebview.

As I am trying to get a similar kind of setup working and couldn't find anything useful on the web about it, I was quite intrigued by this possibility.

However as a newbie programmer I am having a bit of a hard time fully understanding the inner workings of this app. It seems not too difficult at first glance, but a short of guidance would be probably really helpful.

Please revive this project

Uwriter is an excellent and amazing project for ubuntu touch but now it has shut down. Please reactivate the project.
