zarza rifles

Hi. Thank you for Mod Builder and your time and effort. And thank you making the Introduction video, it really was extremely helpful.

The increased rendering distance, which is why I initially was looking at your mod, is absolutely amazing. All the extra stuff it can do is an incredible bonus.

I'm new to Mod Builder, and jumped in the deep end and added many many mods, so maybe I'm doing something wrong / missing something obvious, but...

I've increased the magazine size on one of each version, originally I did both but changed to see if it would make a difference, of the Zarza AR style semi auto rifles, and modified the ammunition that they use, ie 22 223 and 308.
I can include the Zarza rifles in a loadout, and include them in my inventory, but when I go to use them, if scrolling through weapons, it just skips where the Zarza should be, or if selecting directly by number, instead of the rifle, the Huntermate is displayed.
Doesn't matter if it is the version with the modified magazine size or the standard magazine size.
They worked once, on a game restart, and I thought the problem had "fixed itself", but it returned straight away.

The 300 Magnum AR style rifle, my main rifle before using Mod Builder, works perfectly, even better than before thanks to Mod Builder, with increased magazine size and modified ammunition.

The Zarza 308 had been a typical inclusion in my loadouts and inventory without any issues prior to modding.

I've tried various, but not all, other weapons with no issues, only the Zarza rifles, and all of them, seem to be affected.

I'm not using the Decrease Wobble, Increase Speed or Modify Scope Zoom mods.

Generally I think everything else seems to be ok, except a few times when I have switched to a different reserve, the loading has stalled on the image before the new reserve, and I've needed to use Task Manager to "end task" and restart. The game restarts in the new reserve without issue. This hasn't happened every time, but more often than not, and has never been an issue prior to using Mod Builder.

Again, thank you for your time and effort in creating, and maintaining, such an excellent resource. The very limited rendering distance of the vanilla game was driving me crazy.

I tried using the latest prerelease of deca to extract the files and replace all those in the org directory for modbuilder. Now none of my mods work :/ I have a special needs daughter that makes it so I literally have to hop off the game at a second's notice and so playing unmodded is really difficult. I've had to uninstall all of the mods to be able to play, which effectively means I can't really play.

If you can find any time at all to let us know if this is a project you'd like to continue, that would be appreciated. If you have a patreon or anything of the sort, I would be willing to donate.

[Request] A less intense version of Increased Level Progression

I'd like to request a less intense version of Increased Level Progression that keeps the alternating point rewards structure all the way to level 60 so there's a total of 30 of each skill/perk points. I like the idea of having to make choices, but I'd like to be able to at least unlock tier 5 in both the stalker and ambusher trees (28 points total). I'd make the file and submit a PR but I can't get deca-gui to successfully unpack the game, so I can't analyze the bin myself.

Thank you and feedback on bugs in the new version

Thank you very much for coming up with ways to update this module. Without your module, I think my enjoyment would be at least half reduced.
After using your updated version 2.02 again, I have found some bugs:
① Reduce weapon swing amplitude → Revolver cannot reload bullets
② M1 Garand reduces weapon recoil → Equipment=M1 Garand cannot be used
③ AR.300 rifle reduces recoil → cannot reload bullets

New guns won't reload. Glitch during animation.

Great work as usual, this mod is it's own bit of software and a quality example of coding.
Regarding the guns, I have an issue where none will reload, the animation starts to drop the gun down to reload however it glitchs back to the normal in hand position without completing the animation/reload.
They do fire without an issue except for the shotgun, I cannot aim and fire, only hip fire and even then it doesn't always work. Attached is the Mod Builder save file I'm using in game, I hope it helps. Happy to provide more info with your direction @cpypasta

First of all i think i can speak for all of us here, that we thank you for what you have done for our COTW community, We thank you!! for that....Having said this, we have not heard from you from months.....If you are still alive, if you keeled over, or what??..We dont want a full article from you here ,but it would be nice for you to let us know what are the plans for the NEPAL MOD UPDATE , if any ??... A simple " I am not modding it no more". or, " I am working on it", or " SOMETHING"... Dont be like other developers that disappear during the night and never be heard from them again.

This also will help us stop asking you, the same question : When is are you going to mod the game, bla, bla, bla??......

Once again, thank you for both your " Mod Builder" and " Animal Population Changer" Mods.. We appreciate them and YOU.

Wildlife classes reverted

First of all, thank you for the great mod!
I started using your mod tool the other day, mostly because I wanted to increase render distance a bit and decrease wobble, and it works awesome :-)

Now, as for the small issue that I ran into: just now, while playing, I realized that the wildlife classes have changed back to before EW changed them.

For example: in Silver Ridge Peak, the Pronghorn in my game is now class 4 rather than 3 and the Rocky Mountain Elke is class 8 rather than 7.

It doesn't really bother me much, but figured I should let you know.

These are the modifications that I'm using:

  • Remove Intro Logos
  • Enhanced Steady Hands (0.2 wobble)
  • Increase Render Distance (570m, 600m)
  • Increase Level Progression

Hi. Game will run fine with Mod Builder for all "old" reserves, but crashes when trying to use "new" Sundarpatan reserve. Sundarpatan reserve starts without issue if launch option for running Mod Builder is removed.

Haven't played yet, only tested so far to see if I could actually get the game to stop crashing.

I removed a heap of mods to see if that might help, but maybe there is a particular mod it doesn't like, or maybe it is Mod Builder as a whole.

No idea yet how this affects the "old" reserves where I have added heaps of extra deployables, but I guess they all disappear.

Even though I'm only very new to Mod Builder, I can't imagine how I'm going to enjoy the game any where near as much any more without Mod Builder. I hope you are able to find a fix so Mod Builder will work with Sundarpatan.

Increase Reserve Population in Hirschfelden Not Working?

Hey, has anyone had any population issues with this map? I try to use the multiplier and it doesn't seem to be working. I have tried a ton of options and none seemed to have worked. I also tried this with speed/wobble decrease on and off.

Still having Diamond issues

No matter what the value I put, All Males are diamonds. I tried the diamond change by it self. Nothing changed.

Deleted functions and/ or add functions to the MOD BUILDER

On the previous functions that you have on the Mod Builder, you had a function where you could add 100s of ZONES to each of the maps, it would remove the 3-4 zones max the regular vanilla game has and for some reason it was removed...I respectfully ask for you to ad back that function to the mod. Thank You

Is it still difficult to make the " albino, piebald and melanistic" Whitetail Great Ones appear in the map... Back on the 2021 version of this game I was able to shoot 12 of them on the Mexican Map. So they do exist, and they did populate for me!!. .I guess is a matter of " How to make them appear again issue..??

Arrows issue

Hi Brian, I still have the issue with regards to the arrows being in storage, but not showing in the inventory. I can equip the bow, but cannot equip it with any arrows. I am still using the mod builder version before they updated the game and every other thing is still working 100% except the arrow issue. Thanks for all the effort and time you put into this for us all.

Modbuilder VER 2.0.3 and COTW High Caliber Weapon Pack.

Hi cpypasta, i am one of the many people who think Modbuilder is one of the best things since sliced bread and the work you do is brilliant. I had been using version 1.2.3 and could not fault it till the March update for the hunter call of the wild. Now that will not work but that's another story. These issues you have read about repeatedly for version 2.0.3, sorry about this but i feel i need to reiterate and expand on some the issues i am having up to now.

1- Increase speed and Decrease wobble, together or either by themselves cause reload and aiming issues for the new weapons. Also revolvers and a number of rifles.
2-Recoil management does not seem to work.
3-Move n shoot not working. It actually seems worse.
4-Locate tracks, tracking cone not responding to settings.

These are the main things i have found although reading other peoples post it seems there are other issues. I Realize this is a massive project you have undertaken and like so many others i can't thank you enough for all the good work you have done already. If you can fix the issues we seem to be having that would be fantastic. Please keep doing the good work you are doing, it will be appreciated. Good Hunting.

running thcotw on external ssd

Hi

I know this doesn't necessarily fall in to the category of an "Issue", but I'm wanting your help please. I'm new to GitHub so I'm not sure if submitting request for help works via "Issues" or not or if there is an alternative way of contacting you for help, but this is all I could find. Sorry if it's not the correct way to use GitHub and it's "Issue".

I've watched your video. Thank you for making it. Before I try to install Mod Builder, I'm wanting to check with you that it will work with thcotw running on an external ssd.

So my path SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\theHunterCotW is on an external ssd.

Will Mod Builder detect this? If not, can I change anything to fix this? Should I install Mod Builder on the ssd, for example? In your video you say it will detect the path or something is wrong. Is there an option so I can simply change the path in Mod Builder? Your video seem to imply this isn't an option.

Do I need to move thcotw to my internal drive to get Mod Builder to work? I would prefer not to, but if necessary I would consider doing it. Would simply using the Steam option of "Move install folder" to "Move this game's content to another folder or drive" move everything from the external ssd to my internal drive?

I'm not confident / competent enough to just give it a try and see what happens, so your assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I mustn't be the only person running the game on an external ssd, so hopefully others might benefit from the advice too.

A few bugs of Version: 2.0.3 after modify weapon

Thank you very much for update this MOD in time,I have found a few bugs after using Version:2.0.3.Six kinds of rifles can not be used and can not see it's large picture in game's interface after modify weapon.They're:M1 Garand 3006,Ba Rifle 7mm,Ba Rifle 308,Ar15 22lr,Ar15 223 and Ar10 308.Please take a look,Thanks!

Unhandled exception when building mods

First of all, thanks a lot for the mod and still updating it!

With the newest game and modbuilder updates, the modbuilder fails to build with the selected mods for me. The error it gives is as follows:

Unhandled exception in script
Failed to execute script 'modbuilder' due to unhandled exception: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_files'

It however seems to work with the default presets. I'll attach the mod preset I've used which gives the error.

Mod-Builder 2.0.3 Render distance, footstep sounds, movement noise output

After increasing render distance, when I fast travel to an outpost where there is a high animal population around it, my footstep sounds and noise of walking, running etc. bug and I cant hear my characters noises (e.g. footstep sounds and even whistle) anymore and the level created by movement in the game gets louder. It seems once I walk through brush the sound created sticks and doesn't decrease even when the area clears up. Also great work on mod builder it's such a game changer metaphorically and literally.
