Convert Java .properties to JSON

How can I get valid JSON file with this plugin?

Currently it makes a .js file and inside is

var config = config || {};
config['i18n.

...and so on

But I dont understand how can I create valid JSON file.

My gulp task is like that

gulp.task('i18n', function () {
gulp.src('./i18n/*.properties')
.pipe(props())
.pipe(gulp.dest('./i18n/'));
});

Override output file name

Currently it is not possible?

Create object from properties

Is it possible to implement a feature to create object like structure for json output?

Currently if i have a property file like (just a simple example)

i18n.hello=1
i18n.bye=2

then plugin creates json file like

{
    "i18n.hello": "1",
    "i18n.bye": "2"
}

but instead i would like to get

{
    "i18n": {
        "hello": "1",
        "bye": "2"
    }
}

An option would be great. I need this for i18next plugin.
