Operation

Browse through the file system to a file of interest. If you think it's an archive, try to 'enter' inside by pressing 'Enter' on it. If GARbro recognizes format its contents will be displayed just like regular file system. Some archives are encrypted, so you will be asked for credentials or a supposed game title. If game is not listed among presented options then most likely archive could not be opened by current GARbro version.

Files could be extracted from archives by pressing 'F4', with all images and audio converted to common formats in the process, of course if game format itself is recognized.

When displaying file system contents GARbro assigns types to files based on their names extension (so it's not always correct). If types are misapplied, it could be changed by selecting files and assigning type manually via context menu 'Assign file type'.

I tried versions 5.0.0.2 and 4.0.1.5 of Kirikiri Extract but could not successfully unpack.

I tried to unencrypt to play this game on Kirikiroid 2, but the yuzu key I had been able to use did not work.
I think that perhaps the encryption has changed since "Cafe Stella".

GINKA, the file names appear as garbled characters.

In GINKA's xp3 package, all file names appear as garbled characters, but the files can be read normally. What should I do to restore the file names? (I heard that the garbled characters are caused by krkrZ using hashed file names?)

The .dat patches of this game can be correctly opened with any encryption chosen,

So I spent the whole day learning how to update format.dat and can rebuild but can't add updates myself, I'm still confused about cxdec or tpm and others.

Replaced by Latest database issue

While I replace the former database with the latest, no other choices except nocrypt on the screen. What's the problem? Appreciate for the support.

First time trying to use this version, can't open archive files.

I'm having some trouble using this, whenever I click on an archive file on any game I keep getting "Name.File Type: file could not be opened as resource archive". I have the original Garbro and it lets me open or asks what type of encryption the file uses, but this one doesn't and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm trying to use this version to access the files for Shiniyuku Kishi, Isekai ni Hibiku Danmatsuma. I also tried using KrkrExtract but I keep getting "internal error" followed by "failed to decompress special chunk".

Even though this visual novel is not encrypted and can be extracted normally with GarBRO, the contents of all the data cannot be read.

Fail to open .cpz file

As the title said, it fails to open .cpz file, which the old version supported (at least the latest morkt release support it).

Allow repacking SakanaGL files

Allow us to repack Cyberstep SakanaGL (SX) & (SXStorage) files so improvements to music or implementation of improved art can actually be utilised by the games.

Garbro has a bit of a problem determining whether a file is encrypted or not (CatSystem2 .int)

When unpacking "Grisaia no Meikyuu -LE LABYRINTHE DE LA GRISAIA-" and "Grisaia no Rakuen -LE EDEN DE LA GRISAIA-", Garbro didn't pop up a dialogue box asking for a key, but the file was clearly encrypted.

Abogado Powers .dsk archives

堕楽～禁断のサウンドノベル～, a rare visual novel with full narration, appears to use the Abogado Powers archive format and the same engine as Crime uses in their visual novels. However, for some reason, while GARbro works fine with Crime’s visual novels, it doesn’t seem to open the .dsk archives of 堕楽～禁断のサウンドノベル～.

P.S. I think the problem may be that 堕楽～禁断のサウンドノベル～ lacks .PFT files
