User Guide

Requirements

Java 1.8

Usage

java -jar TaskWaltz.jar

Commands

####Display Task Display tasks in the next 7 days: display

main's Issues

A user can have tasks displayed by date

... in a list

Write separate class for constants

A user has a choice of how tasks are displayed

eg. daily, weekly, monthly, list etc

A user has flexibility in issuing commands

so that he may input them in a manner most comfortable to him

Logic can find out where the user has set directory

A user can update/edit an existing task

...so that changes can be easily made when new information is available instead of deleting an existing task and creating a new one.

A user will be asked for confirmation before deleting a task

...to prevent accidental deletion

A user can delete tasks

which may have expired or become irrelevant

A user will be reminded of tasks with approaching deadlines

A user can mark a task as high priority

... so that he knows which tasks maybe skipped or postponed

Logic executes delete command

A user can input the estimated duration to complete a task

...so that he can set aside enough time to accomplish it

A user can add sub-tasks

... to keep track of the progress of the main task

A user can categorize tasks

... so that related tasks will be grouped together

Storage update task

A user can add a task with a deadline

...so that he will be reminded to complete it on time

A user may add tasks without time constraits

... so that he will be reminded to perform them when time permits

A user can block out a period of time

...and edit it later when the timing is confirmed

Make interface for command instruction objects.

So that Interpreter would have to only return one of these instructions objects, and the Logic can just execute them.

A new user will be guided on the accepted input format as he types

Integrate Natty library to parse date and time information

Using Natty will greatly save our time in implementing Flexi-command for date and time input. http://natty.joestelmach.com/ Integrate functions from this library with interpreter (extractDateTime)

A user can add a geographical component to tasks

... so that enough time is set aside to get there

A user can view all tasks

...so that he will be reminded of what needs to be accomplished

A user can set a reminder for tasks

... so that he will not forget about them

A user can mark a task as completed

...to distinguish between completed tasks from those that need to be accomplished

A user can add a task with a start and end time

A user need not be required to save changes

...so that he need not be worried about re-adding tasks when the app quits unexpectedly

A user can search for vacant slots

... so that he may schedule tasks there

A user can see tasks in chronological order of deadline

... so that he can see which tasks are in need or urgent attention

A user receives a feedback message after adding a task

... so that he knows whether the action was succesful or otherwise.
