About The Project

This projects was made to help beginners get started with python and pygame. It is a demo project for the workshop Introduction to python and pygame under TechEX-3.0 whose speakers were Atharva and Dev. TechEx-Flappy-Bird is an implementation of the widely popular mobile game known by the same name.

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.

Prerequisites

• Python

For Ubuntu/Debian:

sudo apt install -y python3

For ArchLinux/Manjaro:

sudo pacman -Sy python3

For Windows or Mac:

Visit the download page here.

Installation

1. Clone the TechEx-Flappy-Bird repository.

git clone https://github.com/csivitu/TechEx-Flappy-Bird.git
cd TechEx-Flappy-Bird

2. Install the dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt # or pip3 install -r requirements.txt

Usage

Start the game by the following command:

python sectionX.py # or python3 sectionX.py

Replace X by 1, 2, 3 or 4. section4.py contains the fully completed game.
