Add a volume hud

Currently, the volume keys change volume, but there is no visual cue of this.

Add more features to the notification server

The freedesktop.org spec does provide much more than we implement.

It would be nice to have icons and actions supported, at least.

Open apps on home screen is not centralized correctly

Is it even open source without a license on how it can be used?

The new global search function overlaps with app thumbnails when there are over 2 apps open

The GridView does not allow scrolling enough to show all of the last thumbnails.

Edge swipes not working

After using the phone for a while, right or left edge swipes to navigate in the shell stop working. Mostly it is the swipe from the right edge. The time after it happens is random, sometimes after 10 minutes and sometimes after a day.

Not rendering after service restart

This might be a device specific issue?

After upgrading the shell, the service restarts and you see actually the last rendered frame from the last session and nothing works. Seems like its running on a dummy display.

Can also be reproduced by just restarting cutie-ui-io.service.

I encountered same issue when testing wayfire, its not really the cutie code. Its even possible to start apps by blindly swipe and touch but its not rendering on the screen.

Is it possible to prevent the service to restart after upgrade? Maybe just informing the user that a restart is needed?

Maybe it is the service file itself? Cause I just adapted the cutie one for wayfire.

Non qt apps positioning is offset

Non qt apps are offset from top-left corner. Even we going to ship most needed apps, we still should also have other apps appear properly. I'm just thinking of the freedom by using Linux.

It seems like the apps just start in a wrong position. If using sendMaximized the apps are fullscreen but the StatusArea is on top of the app.

The new global search function can be focused though quick settings

When tapping the correct part of the quick settings view, the tap propagates through and activates the quick search.

Migrate from deprecated calls to cutie-settings-daemon

cutie-settings-daemon implements some routines that are also implemented by qml-module-cutie. The shell being the only user of these routines should migrate to qml-module-cutie, so that the routines can be cleared from cutie-settings-daemon.

No Icons in the drawer after newly installed apps

The Icons for newly installed apps appear only after reboot. In the app drawer you can see the new app but no icon.

Virtual keyboard suggestion box hard to read.

The suggestion box pulls up after you start typing. The box is transparent and its hard to read if the text color and the window are the same color.
