Skeletor

Skeletor solves my the annoyance of duplicating directory or project structures (skeletons).

It allows users to replicate the folder structure and files sans content, streamlines the process of setting up new projects or directories with a predefined layout.

Threw the original together between lectures... creating countless identical project structures for tutorials got boring fast and I couldn't find anything that solves this issue...

Originally in python, rewritten in C for efficiency, learning and fun

Install

Clone the project

  git clone github.com/cxxii/skeletor/

Go to the project directory

  cd Skeletor

PYTHON version - Install dependencies (python)

  pip install -r requirements.txt
  
  or

  pip3 install -r requirements.txt

C Version - Compile

gcc main.c -o skeletor

Move to PATH

Python > Move skeletor.py to PATH
C >  Move compiled skeletor to PATH

Found on macos @ /usr/local/bin or ~/bin

Support

C version may only work on mac given it uses Pbcopy.

Both are untested on Linux & Windows
