Hey man, firefox 57 released, but 'SUPER STRT' not work in it! I just can not bear one day without this awesome plugin!

pathname in url bar on new tab[FF46]

when i open up a new tab, the string
jar:file:///Users/3marcusw/Library/Application%20Support/Firefox/Profiles/3b13uetv.dev-edition-default/extensions/[email protected]/chrome/superstart.jar!/content/index.html
is in the url bar and the text is not selected. This is a hassle because i have to then select the text in order to start typing the url i want to input.

On Firefox Developer Edition, problem only appeared after the update to Firefox 46

Superstart 3.64b not working in Palemoon 25.7

The "recently closed" menu expands but does not go to the websites.

The buttons "remove" and "config" do not work. Config opens but no changes are stored. Remove does nothing at all.

The only way I can make changes is by editing sites.json.
I have my own custom thumbnail images in "snapshots" and thumbnails are disabled in Palemoon.

Instead of blank placeholder,
I wish users can add their photo (jpg, png) into the placeholder.

Iceweasel support

Hello. Thank you for very nice addon. Unfortunately it doesn't work in Iceweasel out of the box: Super Start is incompatible with Iceweasel 31.4.0.

ADD) configurable auto-refresh per item

Most important feature is missing: auto-refresh. Preferably configurable per item.

Pale Moon 30 Compatibility

Can we get a update for the new Pale Moon 30

older versions are not working anymore

No options button for in-content preferences

For Firefox 32.0.2 (I don't think it matters) and 7.3.1 (including 7.2 and maybe prior) there is no options button in the preferences if they are shown in-content.

You can easily check if you go to "about : preferences" (without the spaces and the quotation marks)

Note that TabMixPlus buttons are shown. It is not that I would require the button it is just inconsistent.

restore after crash

Today my system was reset (most likely kernel crash because of nvidia-driver), so firefox wasn't shutdown properly. After starting firefox I notice superstart was updated (I've autoupdate enabled for firefox plugins) - web page with superstart release notes was auto-opened. Two issues happens:

1. Firefox lost all my open tabs and tab groups. I've already noticed this happened once ago, and at that time also some plugin's changelog webpage was opened after crash/restart of firefox. I don't remember which plugin it was that time, so it may be either firefox or superstart issue, not sure. I've fixed this by manually restoring ~/.mozilla/firefox/.default/sessionstore.js from backup.
2. Superstart lost all my sites - new tab page opens empty, without any sites. I see superstart/sites.v1.json in profile dir and it looks ok - about 20KB with my sites inside. I'll now try to restore full directory ~/.mozilla/firefox/ from backup and try superstart's export/import feature.

I'm using firefox-24.2.0 and current superstart version is 6.11 (not sure which was previous version before auto-update).

White Flashes on Opening New Tab

Hello,

I've been using the add-on for a while now and it's neat for what it does, nice work so far.

That said, it has an annoying bug where the screen will flash white before opening a new tab. It might not be apparent to those that use a lighter color backdrop, but I set the background color to #111111.

My findings are corroborated by this Mozilla forum post, where a user came to a similar conclusion about the flashes being caused by this add-on.

I found the only way to fix it is by following these directions from bugzilla, where you change the value of browser.display.background_color to #000000. While this works, it causes a number of unintended consequences with a whole host of sites that use a default white backdrop. Ideally, I'd like to get this bug ironed out from within the app.

Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

set keyboard focus to location bar on new tab

Thanx for this addon. A little annoying though is that when opening a new tab with superstart in it the focus for keyboard is currently not set to the browser's location bar so you can't type an address immediately.

Automatically setting the focus to the location/address bar would be very helpful.

Export to / Import from bookmarks.

I'll add this feature in the near future.

It will show recently closed tabs, but when clicking on a tab it does nothing.

ADD) Keep aspect ratio of own thumbnails

When specifiing thumbnails they should keep their aspect ratio, stretching is ugly and sooo 90s ;)

Super Start blank page

After the last update whenever I open a new tab, superstart loads a blank page, no tool bars or background even, everything is white, the icon and title are still in the tab, I had the option Load in blank tab enabled.

If I try to open it using 'about:newtab' it loads an older version with my older links, my sites.v1.json file seems to be ok, but I made a backup of it just in case.

Open all items of a group with mouse middle click

This currently works with CTRL + click. It would be great if the mouse middle click could do the same, as when opening new tabs. Something like this, I guess

As of today superstart stopped working on Firefox 44.0a2 (dev version).

Firefox 58 compatability

Will you port that wonderful addon to the WebExtentions? We won't upgrade until that moment!

Getting duplicate tabs when clicking on site

When I click on saved site, it opens up two duplicate tabs.

Basically what the title says. Is it possible for you to add the option to open link in new tab from the right click-menu? I know it's possible to open them in new tab by default, but I'd like the option to do it from the right-click menu. Thanks in advance!

ADD) Option to hide vertical scroll bar

Sometimes the vertical scroll bar appears and disappears if you open a group.

Besides that a vertical scroll bar appears if there are so many tiles that they don't fit on the screen.

Under the advanced options of SuperStart I added the following CSS code to hide the vertical scroll bar.

}

Scrolling is still possible, the bar is just not shown.

Could this be an optional setting within the options of SuperStart? It is not complex. To me it appears end user friendly to have this option.

New line for memo

Would it be possible to support multi-line memos? Right now, new lines get removed from pasted text.

In case yes, it would be useful to have the shift+enter combination to insert a new line without posting the text.

Many thanks for the extension, is the best one I've used (and I tested a huge lot of speed dials before finding yours).

FIX) CSS not applied until reloading page

When I make a new tab, the css is not applied sometimes

Superstart breaks working with passwords in Firefox 32!

While everything was OK with Firefox 32, I started having problems with the stored passwords once I downloaded and tried the Beta of Firefox 32. I have no idea how Superstart interferes with the password functionality, but they did change something in the way Firefox manages passwords. All I know I that disabling Superstart makes things work normal.

loading.png & noimage.gif can't show

Since I'm using about:superstart instead of chrome://superstart/content/index.html, the path of the images in CSS files should be updated too.

I'll fix it when I'm back home. (About a week later).

FF 41.0b1 - Does not appear in new tab anymore

I recently updated to FireFox 41.0b1 and noticed that SuperStart does not appear in a new tab (It did before the update).

• "about:superstart" works
• open new tab does not bring up superstart

Missing strings in translation

When reviewing the Swedish translation, I found that a few strings in the general preferences dialog could not be translated.

superstart doesnt open automaticaly

This bug/ enhancement is only when you use the tab grouping in firefox.

For reproduce:
Open a tab and group them in new group.
Give this group a name (e.g. Test) because if you close now the tab the whole group will be closed but if you named it not.
Click now in the empty group and the normal Firefox panels will appears and not Superstart

need latest xpi file that works for firefox 56

hi i want to install it on Firefox 56 but its removed from firefox addons so can i get the latest xpi file which i can manually install.

Address bar in latest nightlies

In latest Nightlies when Super Start opens, page URL changes from empty to following:

Is this a bug in Firefox or can be fixed in extension?

Focus on address field on Firefox start

This amazing extension has absolutely everything I want except for one tiny thing: when you open the browser, it doesn't auto-focus on address field. When you open new tab, it does. But not when you open the browser with Super Start as a home page. Could you please make it focus on address field?

If you have some reasons why it isn't focused there by default, maybe it could be added as an option?

"Tab group" to create a new tab cannot be loaded superstart

When I open the "Tab Groups", double click to create new tab, open it and superstart was not loaded, but a built-in Firefox home page , only by setting the TMP built in "new tabs" to make up.
