yourcontrols-config-for-fenixsim-a320's Issues

New Fenix Update

Fenix just updated the A320, and now this configuration doesn't fully work. Will you be updating the yaml file? Thank you for all that you do!

Throttel Sync

My co-pilot and I both use the Thrustmaster TCA Throttel.

Unfortunately, the thrust levers are still out of sync with it for me.
We have already exchanged our Fenix Configs, unfortunately this also has no success.

It seems that the devices are unfortunately asynchronous from the factory.

Has anyone had the same experience and found a solution?

Hot Brake Issue

Hi there,

There seems to be another issue:
After departing, and after landing, the Slave Connection to your controls often gets Hot-Brake Warnings. I am aware, that this is common also with other Your-Controls Aircraft, however, is there perhaps any way to fix it?

Deleting the Failure in the Maintenance Menu helps!

Regards.

CPDLC not working and ET Chrono weird sync

Hi there, I want to say thank you at first for your great addition it's so cool, I've been testing your file for the whole day with my friend and we found some workarounds for desync issues or how to use gsx together and it was a great experience.

Tonight we tried cpdlc for the first time (simbrief is good) and my friend received the departure clearance with datalink and I didn't get anything. I was the host and he was using my hoppie and simbrief info in the fenix.

For the ET Chrono (found above the landing gear, top down chrono) when I hit run its working for us but if I moove it to reset on the right and put it to on again, it will be on desync.

I will keep posting if I find other bugs. I can also post workaround if people have a small desync in the fmc (for example host/slave have more acars message than the other one and cause desync to read company messages; or CLR entry on the text field in fmc and the other one doesnt have it etc)

No Fenix in Yourcontrols

After put it into /{yourcontrols directory}/definitions/aircraft i have no Fenix in Youconrtol

Profile not working with Fenix V2

Hello,

The profile is not working properly with Fenix V2, the anemometer works very bad for pilot monitoring and makes visual and noise bugs, making shared cockpit with Fenix very unpleasant.

Please update it :(

Brake Temp + Engine Master + CPDLC + FCU SPD Issues

Hi there,

We encountered four further (!minor!) issues when flying:

  1. The Brake-Temperature issue seems to be resolved now, however, in the MCDU-Maint-Active Failures Menu, for both of the pilots, the "High Break Temperature Failure" still is indicated and has to be cleared.
  2. When performing a Single-Engine Taxi-In, and one of the two pilots (it doesn't matter who exactly, from what we found out) turns off the Engine 2 Master, it does not sync for the other pilot.
  3. CPDLC and PDC Messages only arrive for one of the two pilots, it seems to be random which one. --> I guess that isn't really to be fixed, but rather an issue with Hoppie and two connections with the same call sign, but perhaps there is any data ref to just read out the received DCDU messages?
  4. If the winds aren't 100% the same and one of the two pilots "pulls" the Speed to go into selected Speed Mode, the speeds can differ for the two pilots, which then results in a difference regarding the speed, which can be quite significant.

As said, this file, in my opinion, already is an absolute game changer. All of these things are very minor, but still, it would be absolutely superb if even these little things could also be fixed.

Thanks a lot and best regards from Austria!

Sidestick Nullzone Error

Whilst shared cockpit there was for one person a Sidestick nullzone error, which didn't appear on solo flights. But only for one person.

Flight Control Issue.

Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for this great add-on! I was waiting for that since quite some time, and finally, someone created a working Configuration!

During my initial flight-tests with different colleagues, we discovered an issue which seem to be occurring very frequently:

  1. Flight Controls: During the Flight-Control-Check on Ground, we always notice that all the controls are twisted. For example, if I pull the Side-Stick, for me, the ECAM F-CTL Page indicates that the Elevators are in the full up position, however, for the Second Person connected, the elevators are indicated in the full down position.

Thanks a lot!

New software

Hello,
A few months ago, you announced the development of a new software to replace YourControls. Many are eagerly awaiting updates. Indeed, synchronization issues are numerous and problematic (different flight plans between the two players, no detection of Go-Around for the PM, and therefore no automatic activation of the go-around trajectory, among others...).

Do you have any information to share on this matter? Do you have an estimated release date for this new software?

Sincerly

Changing Control - Aircraft starts to dive without able to recover

Hey there,

first of all, THANKS for this really great work you do!
Waiting long for a possibility to Share my Fenix Cockpit :)

One thing we recognized is, when changing the Control, the Aircraft starts to dive extremly without a possibility to recover.
I am not sure if you can do something about this problem.

I am not sure what happend if you put the FLT CTRLs stuff under the shared vars in the config file.
Probably this would make an "give control" obsolet cause they are shared anyway all the time.

Thanks!

Major synchronization issues with FENIX A320 v.214

Hello,

Thank you for this very useful file.
Before explaining my problems, I'd like to point out that my friend and I, have the same addons and the same simulator settings.

I've noticed several things:

  • The number of passengers is not synchronised between the 2 EFBs (my friend's and mine), which means that the aircraft has to be loaded twice (each side has to do it on its own). However, the fuel and cargo are loaded correctly the first time.

  • During the final approach, the Pilot Monitoring (PM), who does not have control of the aircraft, experiences significant screen freezes, rendering it completely unresponsive, despite there being no reported issues during take-off and cruise. Consequently, the PM has to temporarily assume control of the aircraft to resolve the situation and then relinquish control back to the Pilot Flying (PF) to continue the flight. Initially, in the first few seconds, the PM experiences a frame rate of 1 fps or less, making it virtually impossible to fly. However, a few seconds later, the frame rate returns to normal. Nevertheless, when the PM returns control to the PF, the aircraft continues its flight from the point where the PM took over due to the frozen screens.

  • Despite one of the pilots gently adjusting the altitude or speed knobs on the FCU, there is almost always a discrepancy between the two pilots. On the QNH, we can descend to the minimum and then climb again. This works. However, when it comes to speed and altitude, it does not work, even when switching back to managed mode and selecting it again.

  • Today, I was the PF and initiated a go-around during the short final approach. When I moved my throttle lever to the TO/GA position, the FMC displayed the go-around trajectory on the ND (Navigation Display). However, for the PM (Pilot Monitoring), there was no activation, so they had an ND with no display.

  • When the PF disconnects the AP, I don't hear the alarm in the cockpit. I only see the AP button in the OFF position.

  • Although we have the same weights, the EFB gives us different take-off performances.

That's all I've noted for the moment, and I'll add more if I see any further malfunctions.

Do you think you'll be able to solve the problems I've mentioned?

Thanks in advance.

Fuel "leak"

Hello everyone!
First of all, I'd like to say that this config is really good and very useful for shared cockpit flights! We appreciate that!

We found a new important issue. During flight one of us sometimes experiences deifferent engine thrust settings (I know that this issue is reported already), but because of dif. engine thrust settings we have different FF => FOB is different, moreover, sometimes fuel in the tanks are different. I mean that we have same FOB, but in different tanks and aircraft alerts that there is a fuel leak.

The only way to prevent this from happening: one of you (PM) disconnects his AT and set thrust manually, so PM's thrust settings equals PF's.
P.S. this fix also fixes flight control's issue
