API is not working as of today, been slow these last few days. Too many requests or service outage maybe?

I've been using this meme api lately but recently it's been giving me an error whenever I use it I fetch it in js but it returns with no response so I opened it the meme api link myself and it showed application error idk if that's a bug or error but it's kinds annoying that the api won't work

I am thinking to upload it to Google Play Stores & Other Stores.

Can I have your permission to upload the app to Store & possibly earn money through it?

I saw that you've made a Python version of this API. But couldn't figure out how to use it (tried "gimme" but got no response) If it does work a dedicated GitHub repo and documentation would be nice since I'm more proficient in Python than I am in Go and also like to understand what the things I'm using are doing and how they do it

Right now, we can specific subreddits but is it possible to include search queries?

Instead of just https://www.reddit.com/r/wholesomememes

I would like to use https://www.reddit.com/r/wholesomememes/search/?q=covid&restrict_sr=1&sr_nsfw=

In the above URL, a specific term for a specific sub is included. This should only pull images containing the search keyword.

Pls Add a feature to get a random post from Top/hot/rising/new sorting

Using your Butter Smooth API for my discord bot.. Really a big help!
But the problem is its showing same posts for 2-3 times (specially for specified subreddit). It would be really good if it can be specified that by which sorting method a random meme will be generated like sort by Hot/new/Rising/Top/Gilded etc..

Update to new domain to continue using the API

I have been hosting this API on a Heroku free Dyno for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, Heroku has recently decided to stop support for their free Dynos, which means, the old domain meme-api.herokuapp.com has stopped working.

I have come to realize that a lot of people depend on this API for their apps and I have decided to continue to hosting it outside of Heroku.

Please update your apps to the new domain meme-api.com to continue using the API.
