miniscope_daq_software's Issues

Repo missing /res folder

I'm trying to fix #3. When I attempt a build I get

RC1015	cannot open include file 'res\MiniScopeControl.rc2'.	MiniScopeControl	C:\Users\jon\Downloads\Miniscope_DAQ_Software-master\Miniscope_DAQ_Software-master\MiniScopeControl.rc	305

It seems that the project is missing the /res folder and its contents.

V4 Miniscope retrieve frame failed

Hi there,

When I usedmy Miniscope_V4 with the DAQ and the computer, I think I have already finished the connect work, and the 3 LED on the DAQ had already light. But, when I runned the DAQ software, it showed that "V4 Miniscope retrieve frame failed", when I try different conputers, they showedthe same thing.

I have 4 Miniscope PCB (2 produced by Labmaker, 2 produced by ourself), and 4 DAQ ((2 produced by Labmaker, 2 produced by ourself)). I tried all of them, but all showed the same, "V4 Miniscope retrieve frame failed".But if I connected V3 to the DAQs, they all worked!

I think there may be something wrong with my PC environment or otherelse, but I could find out.

Thanks very much,
Richardo

control the miniscope with matlab

Currently I am trying to control the miniscope with MATLAB ,the camera can be found and controls by using Image Acquisition Tool, but I didn't find a way to control the excitation LED . Can anyone helps me to control the excitation LED with matlab, thanks!

Ability to disconnect camera

Is there a way to disconnect a camera other than closing the camera window? When it's closed, the program becomes unresponsive. If not, it would be useful to have this implemented
-Thanks

Wrong frame rate

When setting the frame rate to 20, the image is (much) brighter than at frame rate 15. This indicates that the frame rate is in fact slower.

Ext Trigger V4

I am trying to setup the trigger for DAQ on Miniscope V4, but it does not work. I did the soldering on the signal and gnd terminals as suggested:

https://imgur.com/a/hgzua

But the +5V does not trigger the miniscope even with the triggerable button enabled on the control panel. If I click Record(Ext. Trig. Enabled) it starts acquiring without waiting for a trigger too. Can you please help me to figure out what is wrong?

compile for linux

I am new to c++ but would it be possible to compile for linux? I would specifically like to run this on a Raspberry pi 3 rasbian based on Debian Jessie.

Resize message/log view

If the log box in the bottom right could be made realizable, that would be nice to see the error messages, I tried to find it to change it myself , I think it's this?:

110: LISTBOX IDC_LIST1,301,230,129,90,LBS_SORT | LBS_NOINTEGRALHEIGHT | WS_VSCROLL | WS_TABSTOP

Not sure. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd be more than happy to help make the edit.

unstable frame rate in x64 release

The frame rate in the new release is only stable for 30 Hz. When I try to use 20 Hz the actual frame rate oscillates on each recorded frame being either 20 Hz or 100 Hz. Same problem occurs at the 15 Hz and 10 Hz.
This problem doesn't occur when I use the previous release.

Trigger Ext

How do I use the "Trigger Ext" feature? My goal is to trigger a recording based on input from an arduino microcontroller. I tried to send a TTL pulse from arduino to the DAQ via a coaxial cable but it didn't seem to do anything. Does the duration of the pulse matter? Should it even be a pulse or should it be a sustained HIGH signal for the number of seconds that I want to record?
I tried the latter as well for a 2 second duration but that didn't seem to do anything either.
Does it matter which port on the DAQ I connect to? I tried a little bit with both.

Alternatively, I would like arduino to keep track of the timestamps by detecting each time a frame is recorded. I had successfully done this with nVista by using the SYNC feature in their software and the SYNC port on their DAQ. Is there a way for MiniscopeControl to tell the DAQ to send a TTL pulse each time a frame is recorded?
