publishnotifier's Issues

Visual Studio freezes on publish

Installed product versions

  • Visual Studio: 16.8.5
  • This extension: 2.1.39

Description

On publish with a project that has a PublishNotifier.json file configured:

  1. On successful publish the Publish Notifier window appears. This is wrong as the solution already has a configuration file.
  2. Pressing Publish freezes Visual Studio completely. You then need to close VS through task manager.

  1. Why is the PublishNotifier.json file in a subdirectory, not on sln level?

Expected behavior

The popup should not be displayed once configured. Just perform the notification. Do not freeze Visual Studio.

Publish Notifier Not Displaying

I installed the extension and created the incoming slack webhook but I am not able to get the publish notifier to display. The way I understand it based upon the documentation is that it should appear after the publish has completed but nothing is happening? Not sure what I'm doing incorrectly.

Im using VS 2017 Professional on Windows 10. Is their a way to edit this setting manually?
